This hotel is just down from Time Square with ample room for 2 adults and 2 teens with oodles of shopping. This was a great base for our holiday, and nothing was too far away. Subway stations, buses, taxis etc. Plenty restaurants and amazing diners close by too.

We were in New York for a trade show. The front desk refused to give us a receipt at the end of our stay. Additionally, they charged us for parking a vehicle in their lot for the 4 days we were there. Our vehicle was there for one day before we returned it to the rental. They refused to refund for the additional days and again refused to give us any receipt. We have disputed all charges and are awaiting their response. HORRIBLE SERVICE - STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE IN THE NEW YORK AREA!

Stayed for 4 nights, not bad for the price. Still waiting for deposits, 5 weeks later .... Close to everything, front desk could have been a little more welcoming. Coffee/tea facilities in room would have been great.

Great location. Quick walk to time square, lots of bars and places to eat in walking distance. Right by the Lincoln tunnel. For the location the price is amazing. The room was very clean. Could use some updates but it’s reasonable. Garage was easy to use. Staff was friendly. Asked housekeeper for more bathroom items and she was more than happy to supply them. Didn’t have to track her down or have any issues. I would definitely stay here again.

Travel Inn could use some updates, but it is in a great location in Manhattan, has a secure $20 a day parking ramp included, and a reasonable diner next door for breakfast. Reasonably priced for rooms. Often sold out and we know why. Being in Midtown Manhattan, it can be siren noisy, but we live in the country so can be over sensitive to that.

Fastest check in of any hotel ever. Nice, polite desk staff. Room was huge, (compared with others we have stayed in), with 2 double beds, bathroom and wardrobe space. Competitively priced and would certainly stay again. The room was cleaned and restocked every day, (409). Free safe deposit box in reception always available. Secure storage for your bags when you checkout. Good diners very close and the very lively Hells Kitchen scene just round the corner. Easy access everywhere. All in all, a great place to be in NY.

Hotel room was decent and clean and two queen beds. The staff we met were friendly and close to a few things. When we first arrived the reception guy was rude and we had to pay 200 dollar security deposit and no mention of that while I emailed them previous to this. I had asked by email what other payments there was and no mention of security. Also 6 dollars for WiFi every day it kept going in and out.

Hotel location was good. There were nearby convenience store and diner. It's near to one of NYPD centre so there's lots of NYPD presence that makes you feel safer. It's a 10-15mins walk to Times Square, Port Authority where the metro subways are. I'd recommend using a shared airport shuttle (USD44/pax) to the hotel if you have large bags. We booked the standard double room that has 2 double beds which can fit 4 people but it would probably be crowded. Since there was only 2 of us, each of us got a double bed which was great. Room has a medium sized fridge, microwave but no kettle or coffee maker. Drinking glasses was provided but no cups. Luckily we brought our own instant coffee & hot choc which we made in the microwave using recycled starbucks paper cups. Hotel doesn't have breakfast but there's a diner just next door or you can heat up breakfast in the microwave. Wifi is payable at USD6/day. Room was dated but clean, bed was comfy and bathroom was a bit narrow but we were ok with it cause water pressure and hot water were good. We didn't see any air-condition but since it's winter we didn't mind. The heater works find although noisy if it's fan was switched on. We just left the heater on with fan off when we slept. Check-in was easy, and hotel staff were helpful and friendly. They even provided recommendations for places to eat and helped us with arrangement for the shared airport shuttle to pick us up at the hotel. Since our return flight was at night, we stored our bags at the hotel and came back later to collect our bags and take the airport shuttle. All in all it's a good place for a short stay in cold weather.

Easy to get to. Easy to park, right next to the hotel. Staff was very good and kind. We take a black light everywhere we go and scanned the room and it not only looked clean but it was clean!! the bed was comfortable. Never waited long for the elevator. Check out was easy also. One thing you must remember. This hotel has NO air conditioning. Remember if your going in the summer. The windows to open. The rooms are of larger than most NYC rooms. The water was hot and the showers gave you a good amount of water pressure. Overall this was one of the better hotels I have stayed in NYC>

Before booking this hotel, I read the reviews. The overall review was good but I was disappointed. Upon checking in, I did not get a very nice welcome, apart from one female receptionist, the staff behind the desk were grumpy and most unfriendly. No smiling, no how are you today, nada! It was good to have the microwave and fridge in the room, it could do with a kettle to boil water for tea and coffee. If you wanted wifi you had to pay for it, which I was surprised about, considering all big hotels and shops around the city it's free!
