So excited to see this mountian lake RV camp site. It was 12 miles from the main highway so it seemed to be the perfect place for a quiet lake experience. Not so much! Extremely congested, disorganized, dirty, loud, and little support from the staff who couldn't quite find time in their day to com out of the kiosk to... More

We have been coming here year after year and even when you can't secure the site you want(they book fast) you still have a blast. Most years we just drive up and take whatever is available. It is located close to town if you need supplies and they have the quaint, general store.with showers.

We camped here in August the sites were spacious with lots of trees. The bear boxes were big, and I loved being close to the lake. They have flush toilets and a general store that sells ice, firewood and basic things you might need. They also rent boats and fishing poles. You can see your neighbors so there is not... More

I simply loved this place, stayed there for a couple of days had plenty of things to do. Conveniently located close to many other lakes and campgrounds as well as to town. I enjoyed getting around in my bike they have beautiful paved bike lanes. Took a wonderful trip with my fiancée from twin lakes biked up to lake Mary... More

A small group of us camped at this campground this past weekend (9/16-9/19) and here is some information I gathered from our experience: -My site, #23, was on the "lake side" and trust me, you don't see the lake from any of the lakeside sites #23,#25,#26,and #28 AT ALL. I have to say, this was my greatest disappointment in regards... More

Ok to be fair, most of this campground is very nice, the inner loops especially. That being said, we had reserved #28 because when I made the reservations that was one of the only sites available. The description on the recreation.gov website clearly states that is acccomodating for a 30' parking pad, partial shade and 6 people. Fast forward to... More

We have stayed in different campgrounds in the Mammoth Lakes basin but beautiful Twin Lakes Campground is by far our favorite. It has 2 sections, one with sites next to Twin Lakes, some with waterfall views, and an upper section that goes up the hill. Several sites are large and shady, all have a picnic table, fire pit, and mandatory... More

Positives: beautiful area; close to town yet still in the woods; close to other lakes and hiking trails; well maintained. Negatives: most camp sites are closer together than I like (which can become an issue if you are tent camping and have a neighboring camper who snores); the lake is on the small side and can get overcrowded with fishermen;... This is probably the best campground in Mammoth Lakes. Located a short drive north of the Village, the campground is nestled next to Tamarack on the lake. Tamarack has a restaurant, bar, bike rentals and cabins. Twin Lakes has a convenience store, showers ($4.00 per shower) and plenty of flush toilets and running water basins. These bathrooms were spotless. Bear... More

We love Twin Lakes.... there is something to do for everyone! We bike around the campground, or the guys can go to the mountain. We kayak on all the lakes, early morning before the afternoon winds come up (but not bad). The camp sites are clean and comfortable.... easy access to bathrooms and showers. Lots of interest sites that are... More
