Stayed here for a week on business - and it was a mistake. No wake up calls, no housekeeping, rooms that smelled like marijuana, hard beds, unhelpful and apathetic staff, unreasonable hours, and slow wi-fi. We stayed at ESA because we were in town for the GatorBowl. The location is very convenient but the hotel needs a makeover! The hallway rugs are stained, the bed linens are tattered. Stayed here in September while doing business in the Riverside/Avondale area. If you want to stay downtown Jax, this place is OK. The room was fine - don't expect any luxury, but it's clean, modern, and the staff is nice. It's a motel room with a kitchen. Since it's in downtown Jax, don't espect to go out at night. more
