My husband and I chose the Cannery Pier Hotel to celebrate our 10th anniversay. We can't think of a better place to have celebrated. Everything from making the reservation to check out was outstanding. Every one of the staff we encountered went above and beyond just courteous and nice. We were treated like they really wanted us to be there... More

We always head to the Oregon coast each winter for a weekend getaway. We typically head to Canon Beach or farther south, but wanted to try something different. I found the Cannery in an online search and we booked it. What a wonderful discovery! The hotel sits on the river and all rooms are waterfront view. We upgraded to the... More

My husband and I stayed here for a Valentines and for our anniversary. We had stayed in Seaside for two nights prior and we should have stayed here the entire 3 nights!!! The service, ambiance, views, comfort of the rooms, attention to detail throughout the hotel are tops in every way!! Nice wine and appetizers in the afternoon, hot cookies... More

My husband and I stayed at the Cannery Pier hotel for our weekend getaway to Astoria, Oregon. The service was fantastic, the hotel and the guest rooms were beautifully decorated, smelled wonderful and had the most amazing views of the Columbia River and the Columbia River Bridge. We were lucky enough to see a couple of huge ships pass right... More

I have always been fascinated with Astoria since I was a child. My dad and I would always travel through town on our way to Seaside, OR for our camping trips. I loved the houses built up on the steep hillsides, the river with the huge ships and the neatest bridge I'd ever seen. Plus it was home to the... More

No doubt about it, this is a very good hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much. The only reservation (no pun intended) I'd have about giving an unqualified 5 would be about the construction. The floors throughout (meaning the rooms as well) are some sort of laminated wood (like Pergo). It seems cheap & it's already buckling in spots... More

My girlfriend and I took an impromptu trip to the coast for the weekend. I called up the day before and asked if they had any last-minute specials and they did not disappoint. This was out 2nd stay at the Cannery Pier Hotel and each time has been great. The service is very friendly and feels like a family-run place... More

I have been traveling for business and pleasure for more than thirty years and this is one of the most pleasant hotels I have ever stayed at. Rooms are fabulous, the views are unbeatable, and the staff is helpful and pleasant. Although the most expensive property in Astoria, it's worth it. Let's face it, you're on vacation, splurge a little... More

I was very impressed by my all-too-brief stay at this hotel. The architects did a nice job creating historic ambience in what appears to be a thoroughly new building built on the footings of an old cannery pier. All of the guest rooms face the water, so you can't go far wrong there. On arrival, the front desk staff poured... More
