This hotel isn't fancy, but it is authentic. Our rooms were clean and furnished with only the necessities. I'd go again to sit outside my room and take in the peaceful morning with the cool, clean mountain air and watch the sun rise on the dramatic desert landscape. More

For our family, this oasis holds nothing but incredibly positive memories. The furnishings are remarkable, varied so that visitors may choose traditional or quaint, while being blissfully comfortable in any location. Nearby are scenic vistas that present some of the very best of Texas beauty. A location that is not to be missed! Oh, and it is the coolest part... More

The Indian Lodge Hotel is beautifully nestled in the mountains. We stayed in room 112 in the original lodge. It is a very nice room, great layout with a make-up vanity outside the bath and an ample size bedroon. The furniture is very hard, but we brought a couple of chairs in from the patio and they were quite comfortable.... More

We spent a night in the old section of the hotel. It was a very peaceful place, and we enjoyed reading the history and admiring the hand-carved furnishings in the room. It was a bit chilly to enjoy the terrace, but we had a great view of the sunrise in the morning. Would highly recommend staying here if traveling through... More

We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. Following the advice of other reviewers we were looking for a room on the top floor of the old section. The only one available was the suite, #121. It's a very charming room with a nice view of the valley below but a few details made the experience not as nice as... More

This lovely hotel was built in the 1930's by the CCC and has been lovingly restored and maintained. The rustic charm and details are throughout from the lobby to the rooms. Be sure to read the letter from the son whose father worked on the building that is posted on the wall by the fireplace in the lobby. The Black... More

I first visited here as a child with my parents in the 1960s and have been back many times. The renovation a few years ago restored the fading charm of this gem. One thing I have recently learned was that you can bring your own "fire logs" and burn them the fireplace of the large common room. If it's just... More

We loved our one night here and could easily have stayed longer. The outside is extremely attractive, and our room was large, light, with lots of natural timber used effectively with attractive native American decor. The staff were very helpful. The pool was large and well maintained. Being situated in the state park also made it a relaxing location. More

We stayed at the Indian Lodge last weekend. It is a beautiful setting. Our room #112 in the original section was large but lacked some amenities that are expected for that price range. There was only one night table for a king size bed, although there was room for it. (we used a chair). There was no hair dryer, there... More
