Make sure you hit your work out goals extra hard before going so you dont feel guilty about the breakfast. Fresh strawberry and creme, homemade scones with creme fraiche, ridiculous eggs, bacon and "things that make you go mmmmmmmmm" grits. The Tacos & Soup joint on Caroline is great for lunch. Hit Kybeccas for an app/wine then Bistro Bethem for... More

My husband and I have made a trip to Fredricksburg where we stay at The Schooler House Bed & Breakfast an annual affair. The home is delightful. Andi and Paul are outstanding hosts. The breakfasts are delightful and beautifully presented. The gas fireplace in our room is wonderful. I could go on and on about the amenities, convenience to shops... More

This little B&B is immaculately clean, very comfortable and perfectly situated for a wonderful walking tour of Fredericksburg, if you are so inclined. Andi and her husband Paul are wonderful hosts. They are extremely warm and welcoming. After just a few minutes, you are sure you made the right choice to stay there. Our breakfast was delicious and it was... More

Fantastic!! The Schooler B&B was amazing. We felt so welcome. I was prepared to find a hotel and hunker down for the night and be happy with my “free” shampoo and bagel in the morning, but on a whim I called some B&Bs I found on the internet. The other place I called was full. Oh thank you fate :)... More

This vacation B and B is perfectly situated on the edge of town, walking distance to the middle of town and less than a mile to sites across the river in Chatam. Andi is lovely, cooks a great breakfast and is a wealth of information about the area and sites. She knows the back roads to avoid traffic. The trip... More

My wife and I wanted to stay at The Schooler House the first time we came across it during one of our Fredericksburg trips. We made it there this past weekend and the wait was absolutely worth it. Its now our favorite place to stay in one of our favorite towns to visit. Other reviews all seem to nail it... More

I stayed with my partner in Annie's room, while not the biggest of rooms still extremely comfortable. The landlady is very helpful and informative and she prepared a lovely breakfast (bread to accompany eggs and bacon would have made it perfect!!). The grandfather clock is a bit loud when it strikes and the centralized A/C is also somewhat annoying. A... More

My husband and I stayed here one night as part of our Civil War driving tour. We had some bobbles with the billing, which were quickly corrected, and no more issues. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. The location was very close to historic places - especially the Rising Sun Tavern - and within walking... More

We went to Fredericksburg for several days for our 25th anniversary. The Schooler House could not have been a better choice. Andi is the penultimate hostess - delightful, attention to detail, and the most elegant and wonderful breakfasts. The house is charming and situated just a few blocks from art, shopping ,history and beautiful homes. We will definitely return. More
