Pike's Waterfront Lodge is just a great place to stay, very Alaskan, as are we, and a very friendly atmosphere. Pikes is at a great location in Fairbanks - beautiful setting right on the water. The hotel is pleasant, if a bit kitschy at times. My only real complaint is that the mattresses are awful! Stayed here for a weekend outdoors show. Great price, decent rooms. Fitness center was very nice, and the service was very good as well. Rate included breakfast, which was a bit limited, but a nice perk nonetheless.

We stayed here for a night in March while trying to catch the Aurora Borealis. Our room was affordable, clean, service was good. The art in the main lodge area was my favorite thing. And they offered us free ice-cream! I would stay here again.
