We enjoy staying in Best Western hotels all over the country and I would have to say this is the worst one that we have come across. Downstairs rooms are very nice and cozy. Upstairs, "smoking" rooms, not much to speak about. Felix Cookhouse, at this location, is excellent - loved their halibut fish & chips, but meals were always good, service good, and atmosphere very nice. Prices were extremely reasonable. While not located in a really 'scenic' part of town, Best Western Fairbanks was a good choice for us. We stayed 2 nights. We just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks in Alaska. Because of the way we planned our itinerary, our stay began and ended with nights in Fairbanks.
