If we could choose a 'home away from home', this would be it. Who needs frills and ritzy room service? In Grand Marais, you're already close enough to heaven. Rates reasonable, room comfy. Great food within walking distance; microwave and coffee pot in room.

The location, service, cost, and room quality were all top notch. The owner made sure everything was going well each time we saw him. The price was very low for what we got. The room was redone and had a nice north woods feel. There was a fridge and a lot of space in the room.

The hotel is new and pretty small. The room was very basic and didn't have many amenities. The location is very good, just a few blocks from the stores and restaurants in central Grand Marais. The owners were great.
