I have been staying at the Parc St. Charles on business for the last two months...usually one night a week. The rooms have been updated and are very clean, the new bedding, matress, fixtures really have added stars to the hotel. The staff has been most helpful and always have a smile! What a pleasant surprise! The festive Mardi Gras decor made quite an entrance to start the weekend. This hotel was supererbly located and the rooms were well-appointed. I was reading all the reviews and was very skeptical of staying at this hotel, but you cannot go by those because they are old. This hotel is under new ownership and all of the rooms have been newly renovated, there is new carpet on the floors, my room appeared to have new beds and linens. I was pleasantly surprised!!... The Parc St Charles is located just about 4 blocks west of the French Quarter, so is great walking distance to the bars, restaurants, and shopping located there. It's also convenient to the Arts District, plus the trolley to the Garden District and Uptown runs right out front of the hotel. The service was kind and helpful at all times.... More
