Tried to make this review for Hotel Modern but tripadvisor didn't have it in the system yet i guess.
3 nights for MLK weekend. We visit New Orleans frequently and love to try different hotels.
2 adults. 1 dog. We paid about $105 and probably wouldn't pay much more at all.
Pros: Best check-in experience we have ever had. So relaxed...

Let me first began by saying..the first step I took was to read every review I could find on the internet about this particular hotel. Because I booked our flight during a hotel wkend, we were pretty much screwed which hotel we had a choice to stay. I was fortunate enough to book 4 of our 8 nites at Harrahs'....

It was a Saturday night in October when I staid only 1 night at Hotel Le Cirque en route to a Caribbean Cruise the next day. It’s a boutique style hotel in the Warehouse District of New Orleans; it is a healthy walk to the cruise Port. We walked it with our luggage and took about 15 minutes; we had...

Le Cirque offers a great location right on Lee Circle... the streetcars pass directly in front headed either uptown or to the Quarter. Its also easy walking distance to two museums (DDay and Confederate History) as well as great eats (Cochon Butcher and Deanies).
I was there for Tulane Homecoming and the city was booked. I read reviews of the...

I was in New Orleans for a meeting and had no choice over my selection of hotels. If you have to stay at this hotel DO NOT GET A ROOM FACING LEE SQUARE. The flashing lights on the front of the Hotel go on ALL NIGHT. The curtains do not fit propertly and there is no black out shade. Room...

The hotel has just been completely renovated. No frills, but everything you need. Large shower, TV, free WiFi, room safe, amenities and so on.
The thick windows protect from the outside noise.
It's only 15 minutes away from the French Quarter by foot, and even less with Saint Charles' street train.

Hotel is clean,no frills, bare amenities and modest.
Great place if you just wanna lay n bed and watch tv.
If u are a museum buff....this spot is for u. (location wise)

The Hotel is older like most buildings in the area. The location on Lee Circle makes getting around great! The rooms are small and not very modern. However you don't seem to mind as it fits into the character of the place. The staff was very informative and the rooms clean. We would leave in the morning and get back...

Upsides - the nicest desk staff ever. The hotel's location right on the St. Charles streetcar line makes it a snap to get to Magazine Street antiquing or the French Quarter. Nice marble bath.
Downsides; the world's smallest, darkest room. Until the sun goes down, at which point the ever-changing light show begins outside - and on your ceiling, too,...
