I stayed here with my 13 year old daughter in December, 2011. The lady at reception seemed disinterested, although she checked us in, gave us our keys and that was that. For a hundred bucks a night, I guess I do not need a hug, let alone a smile.
The room was small, but there was a flat screen television,...

Stayed at the Pere Marquette before New Year's. Very much enjoyed the location (easy walk to Canal Street), quiet, cleanliness, and extremely helpful and friendly staff in the Club Room. Would be pleased to return again.

This hotel has become a favorite of mine since my husband and I first stayed there two years ago. The rooms are clean and comfortable and nicely appointed. Also, the staff is friendly and ready to assist you. One of the best reasons to stay here is its great location. No matter what is on your sightseeing itinerary; the Quarter,...

The location is truly amazing. One block off Canal Street. The hotel has a modern feel to it including wi fi in the rooms which was a real bonus for me.
We came off a cruise and went to the hotel early. They had a room for us at 10:30 am which was fantastic. Unfortunately, it smelled of smoke so...

Stayed at this hotel over New Year's 2011 and we absolutely loved it!
The location was convenient to all the amenities we needed including: pharmacy (CVS/Walgreens, Breakfast, Convenient store, etc). It is only a block away from Bourbon street after you cross Canal St. so walking was a breeze.
The staff was pleasant, although as mentioned by some of the...

This hotel is basic. I haven't really had any difficulties. It is relatively clean and I found the staff to be pleasant. The only issue I have is that this is not a four star hotel. I don't know if an attached restaurant and a bar in the lobby ups the score, but this hotel is standard and nothing more....

We stated at this hotel 12/29-1/1/12. We had dinner at Mila. Steve was our waiter and he was amazing. Laura the Bartender at Bar Uncommon made the best drinks and any drink you could imagine she could make. Very impressive. I would say the actual hotel room was average but it is in great location. Very quite hotel like previously...

I've been to New Orleans many times, stayed at many different hotels. There are better hotel choices including the Renaissance Arts on Tchoupitoulas.
The location of the Pere Marquette on Common Street is convenient, just two blocks down to Royal, turn left and you're at perhaps the nicest entry point into the Quarter. However, Common Street is thick with traffic...
