Exceptionally clean with a friendly staff in a great location. Located at the "quiet" end of the Quarter, learn Esplanade, the French Market and the Marigny district (Frenchmen's St). We've been to NOLA many times, only discoving this property in our last visit. We'll be back! More

This has repeatedly been my #1 hotel in New Orleans for several years. Location, location, location is only part of their charm. The hotel is located in the civilized, quiet end of the French Quarter. The rest of the charm is compliments of the staff and the facility. The hotel is lovely: quaint, clean, unique and not "cookie cutter." The... More

My family (3 of us) stayed here recently for two nights prior to leaving on a cruise from New Orleans. Check in was a breeze and we had a room with a shared balcony/porch on the second floor. The room was clean and our real only complaint was the old air-conditioning unit that could not be turned off ....that wasn't... More

Located at the edge of the French Quarter and with its own parking lot, this is my favorite NOLA hotel. The rooms are getting a little dated (we had a broken floor lamp), but not enough to make me look elsewhere. Our room was clean and the desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. More

Stayed 3 nights for along weekend. The service was wonderful and helpful . The breakfast was fresh and a good price compare to other breakfast meal in the French Quarters. What was really nice was getting away from the noise of the other streets. My only complaint was are room was really cold on the 3rd night. More

The people who checked us in were very nice. The room is dumpy. The king size bed is hard as a rock. We were told the internet was free but we couldn't find a signal. So if you don't care about those things you will like this place. I wouldn't stay here again. More

My party had a very nice stay at Le Richelieu in August 2011. We found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. This hotel is conveniently located for visiting the French Quarter, the New Orleans Museum of Art (highly recommended!), the Mississippi River, Cafe du Monde, shopping and of course culinary establishments... I found Le Richelieu on the internet at a bargain basement "run of the house" price. I didn't even know what that meant, but I was told it was we had to take whatever was available. I neededa king size bed and I couldn't take a chance on getting something smaller because my wife and I were travelling with our... More

Tamara, the manager will go the extra mile to help you out and you don't find that in other big city hotels. The location is perfect if you want Old New Orleans. The room was very comfortable and it had access to the wrap around balcony. Look, you can nick pic a place to death but this hotel has charm, style,a great... More

I wouldn't normally choose a hotel in the French Quarter, but Le Richelieu is on the far Eastern end of the Quarter and you have the feeling almost of being in its own village. There is not much street noise. We were fortunate to be in a suite, but it was by no means luxurious, the furniture was a little... More
