The inn is lovely. The Moulin Rouge room upstairs is quite spacious. Request a room that faces away from the busy intersection, is street noise keeps you awake. There are many rules to follow and you must sign an agreement when you check in , indicating you'll follow the rules (no red wine allowed inside the mansion, do not wear... More

We stayed here six nights, our 30th wedding anniversary treat to ourselves.! Enjoyed the quiet location, but very close to streetcar which is very inexpensive. Also for those who do not wish to use streetcar, it is a great walk into the downtown area. Watch out for uneven pavements along the way. The house is lavish, and although we love... More

We stayed the weekend before Mardi Gras - excellent location for exploring this lovely area -walked to Commanders Palace for lunch and to the old cemetery opposite it. Streetcar stop is a block away on St. Charles - also were able to watch several parades there. The Vampire Room on the main floor was comfortable and decorated well in gothic... More

Although I have stayed in New Orleans many times, I'd never before stayed at Magnolia Mansion. Our host, Tim was friendly, interesting and very helpful. The house is a 150 year old mansion that is extremely clean and decorated in the style of that era. Our room was on the main floor of the house and aptly named "Vampire's Lair."... More

We're from Myrtle Beach and this is our first time staying in New Orleans. We decided we wanted a unique experience that truly felt like the "New Orleans" we've always heard about... Magnolia Mansion came highly recommended to us by some friends who have stayed there a few times before and we are SO GLAD they did! Magnolia Mansion really... More

My husband and I decided to celebrate his impending retirement from the military by visiting New Orleans and going to see the Saints play at the Superdome.. Glad we did...they won! We spent seven memorable nights at the historic Magnolia Mansion. - It is quite a vision from the exterior and even more sensational when entering spectacular grand hallway! It... More

We planned a trip to New Orleans for my husband's 40th birthday and stayed here for two nights before heading out to explore more of Louisiana. We loved it so much, we came back for an extra night before departing to come back home to Portland, OR. Tim and Hollie were both wonderful hosts. They took the time to make... More

We stayed here on Valentine's Day eve on returning from a cruise. It was immediately evident that the current owner is not terribly concerned about impressing anyone with his hospitality or customer service skills. We managed to get in the gate and front door which were held open for us by a departing guest which annoyed Phil. There is a... More

I’m glad he found the property impressive. Since these folks were returning from a Luxury week long Cruise and were only staying here for one day and checking out early to leave on a very early flight the next morning , we honored their request to have our breakfast out extremely early prior to their leaving. Now about our breakfast,... More

We stayed in the "Gone with the Wind" room. It was very spacious, we loved the architectural details like the 9' doors and windows. If you want to feel like you're a rich New Orleans resident of bygone years, I recommend it. That said, it was actually so opulent, I felt a little self-conscious/uncomfortable using the room - like it... More

Me and my fiancé love to stay at four/five star hotels where ever we travel, so when every hotel was booked for the Essence Festival we were skeptical to stay at a B&B. To our surprise it was fun and exciting to stay some where's with such character and history! Not to mention the bed was very comfortable (which is... More
