I searched for the perfect place for our girls get together/reunion. When I walked in I knew that I had found the absolutely best place. It was exactly what I wanted for us. The staff was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were wonderful and the service was excellent. The place is a main gathering point... More

This was going to be just a birthday trip to see Katie Perry for my fiancee... After searching for just "any" B&B, I found Balcony Guest House. As soon as I saw the balcony, I knew I wanted to get married here. I am so glad we did. We parked right on the street and never moved the car until... More

The location is amazing-- the Marigny neighborhood is beautiful, and close but still removed from the bustling French quarter. I got a very "local" feeling, staying here. The staff is also amazing-- everything is low-key, and everyone is friendly and willing to help (with directions, for instance) or just shoot the breeze. The room we stayed in was furnished nicely... My partner and I used to live very close to here. It was our 1st trip back to New Orleans since Katrina. The room was nice and clean...very comfortable. The staff was attentive and so nice. The breakfast was a real plus and made to order. Having access to the balcony over looking Royal St. was so nice. Several nite... More

This was our first trip to NOLA and what a memorable trip it was. We pulled up early in the afternoon and were checked in right away. Were shown to our rooms, rested for a few minutes then made our way downstairs for a refreshing beverage. Located in a nice, quiet part of town with good access to many of... More

This last trip to Balcony Guest House in April 2011 was for the Crescent City Classic Race. What a fabulous time we had participating in the race and hanging out at the Balcony Guest House in the Marigny. We frequently stay there; the owners and staff are very pleasant and make sure you have all you need. And the Indian... More

I went there for a long weekend to discover New Orleans. The location is ideal as it's not in the French Quarters but closeby, very close to Frenchmen street (best place for jazz music to me). The place is not big but clean and cosy, and the owner makes you feel at home. And it's totally affordable. I certainly recommend... More

The balcony guest house shows another side of NOLA - the marigny. And the place has lots of charm and colorful locals who dine and drink there. the balcony is nice for hanging out. The food above average. You're about 10 minutes from the Quarter. More

This review is looong overdue. I organized a surprise bday party for my husband last September in New Orleans and invited more than 6 couples to join us. We wanted something that was close to the center of NO, but not super expensive. We also wanted a place where each couple could have their privacy, but where the 12 or... More

The Balcony Guest House is a part of a remarkable complex in the heart of the Marigny. Besides some surprisingly nice rooms upstairs, Schiro's has a bar and restaurant downstairs that specializes in tasty Indian food and affordable New Orleans fare. Next to it is one of the few laundromats in the area. Back in the restaurant, there is a... More
