Had 8 nights at the the Staffler with wife and 2 young kids. Kids had a great time with many other youngsters to play with. Mainly English speakers staying in the hotel and all the staff are English - makes communication for English speakers very simple. Food was great - plenty of it and home cooked and wholesome. Location is... More

We had 7 days in the Staffler. We were met by the host, Yana who could not have been any more helpful. The hotel is a lovely family friendly hotel with owners who are very hands on. The hotel offers excellent home cooked food which is what is needed after a days skiing. The lifts are about 150m away so... More

we have just returned with a group of 15 Friends from 4 nights at the Staffler Hotel in Niederau - I really was not sure what to expect as we had only ever stayed around zell am zee area before. The Staffler is in the most perfect location - a very short stroll to the Bus Stop which takes you... More

Just back after a weeks stay at the Staffler, where we had, quite simply, a fantastic time. OK, the hotel is not the newest and shiniest you will ever stay at, but, in my experience, new shiny hotels don't come with friendly staff and a 'can do' attitude. Yana and Nick make you feel very welcome and the rooms are... More

Best aspectof the Staffler is the ski guiding. You have to be up and out at the designated time (8 am) or they will go without you!. But its well worth the effort as you will make the first lifts and then spend the next few hours being guided round the best slopes and the best conditions without pause to... More

We booked Hotel Staffler via booking.com as it was the best price for this area and we stayed for 4 nights. It was really good value for the price we paid. Rooms are older but clean and cosy however we were really cold first two nights as the heating did not seem to be on. We asked the staff for... More

We picked up the Hotel Staffler by chance on a last minute break so we didn't know how lucky we were. OK so the hotel itself has seen better days but there isn't actually anything wrong with it. The food isn't exotic but what they do they do well. Nick and Yana make it special as they really go out... More

Highly recommend the Staffler, which is run by Nick and Yana who understand exactly what their guests want in a short (or long) skiing break. It made a nice change to stay in a hotel run by people who understand what hoteliers should provide - many other similar hotels could benefit from watching them and their staff at work. They... More

Just returned from a stay here in which the host (who looked like Dick Emery's Vicar) and his lovely Wife looked after us splendidly. The rooms en suite shower room are a bit small and basic, but clean and the beds comfortable. All in all could not fault it for an all round stay in a nice location.

Booked the Staffler as it was the only hotel in Niederau I could find that did short breaks. Very useful to be able to do Wednesday till Monday. We were also attracted by the reasonable room rates. Accordingly, we didn't expect too much but were pleasantly surprised. The hosts, Nick & Yana, were very friendly and helpful and we soon... More
