We excahnged with our Maui Ocen Club Marriott in Maui and stayed for a week. It was a totally wrong choice for us. I don't recommend if you are an owner of Marriott or expect to have a nice pool for kids and beautiful beach is on site. Customers were mostly 60s and 70s there during our stay. You need... More

This was our second visit to Kona Coast Resort, but it won't be our last. The condos are well maintained, well furnished and we didn't have to do anything except relax. I love the fact each unit has a washer/dryer because it cuts down on the amount of clothes I have to pack. We had an older unit and, while... More

This resort is really nice. We stayed in a one bedroom unit for a week. The units are very large with plenty of light well decorated. My husband loved the full kitchen even though we used the outside grill most nights. We did pay extra for the air conditioning but was worth every penny. It was hot and humid when... More

We loved this resort so much last September, that rather than visiting a different island for our May 2013 Hawaii trip, we went back to Kona! We just couldn't find anything on Maui or Oahu that compared to Kona Coast Resort. With the comfortable beds in two separate bedrooms (and baths), just like an apartment, the fully equipped kitchen with... More

We visited Kona Coast Resort as a trade with our time share. The buildings are established and the landscaping is very well kept. The furnishings are basic and have been around for quite while. The kitchen is spartan, as if you don't spend much time in the kitchen. We like the location because it is away from downtown traffic. It... More

We were there with my wife only two nights (12-14/5/2013) out of 10 nights in total in Hawaii different islands but it was by far the best. Wonderful unit, very big with a big complete kitchen, beautifully decorated unit. We loved the service, the pool close to the sea to see sunsets and we received an excellent value/cost. The front... My husband, sister, brother-in-law, two nieces (18 & 22) and I stayed at the Kona Coast II resort April 14-20th. We had a very nice corner unit (also no one above us) that had two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rooms were quite large. The master bedroom had a king size bed and en-suite 5 piece bath along with a... More

Reviews here are accurate concerning dated units, vacationing next to residential units with their family dramas, extra charge for air-conditioning, expensive menus at pool and pitches for timeshare sales. Also true are the reviews for the cool pool with ocean view and being a comfortable distance from Kona. We experienced something extra we are sharing with you as a warning... More

We stayed here for one week and had an excellent experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I can't think of one bad thing to say about the room or the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone going to Kailua Kona. Very quiet and close to town without being to close.

The Kona Coast Resort is getting on in years, however, the ocean views, the beautiful sunsets, its proximity to a shopping center and restaurants more than make up for it. Our two bedroom unit is well appointed. Spacious, tastefully furnished and with a fully equipped kitchen. Last night we grilled steaks on a gas grill located steps away from our... More
