First of all, the pool is the smallest Ive ever seen and the chlorine was so strong i didn't even use it. The room was average, small, actually.. Very decent moderate property. I've stayed at the Outriggers in Waikiki, and although I would consider this a step down from those properties, the Outrigger name is good and solid. Oceanside room view was great! You can watch turtles and fish swimming from your balcony. With the every 3rd day free special, it was a great value. The hotel is next to one of the best snorkeling beaches on the Big Island. Although the beach can be crowded, since you are right next door it is easy to go early... more

We stayed here Feb. 12 & 13, 2010. We took an oceanfront room, no. 601, at the rack rate of $229 per night. Tax is $28.43, bringing the per night total to $257.43 (extra charge for parking explained later). The rooms at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort were nice and clean. The staff was extremely helpful, especially with offering facilities after check-out due to a late flight off the Island. Snorkeling at the public bech next door was amazing. Had never stayed at an Outrigger Resort before, but look forward to going back! more
