We stayed 2 nights in Brass Lantern in August 2012. Maureen was both friendly and helpful. She made us felt welcome. It's within walking distance to the downtown area, yet it's situated on a quiet street. The unit is attached to the main part of the house with its own entrance. It's not too big but would be very comfortable... More

My wife and I stayed here in August of 2012. Of the 3 B&Bs we stayed at in Alaska we liked this one the best. Good breakfast selection, centrally located, plenty of room, privacy, facilities for preparing our own meals if we chose to and excellent advice from the owners about hiking and dinning options around Seward. A laundromat was... More

We arrived at this B&B and immediately felt very comfortable and at home. There were pastries, fruit, milk, etc... left for us (and the pastries were DELICIOUS). The entire unit was clean and quiet. We enjoyed all of the Alaskan magazines that were left for us and the ability to use the WIFI so we could communicate with loved ones... More

Staying at the Brass Lantern was so much better than an over priced hotel. It was the perfect accomidation for our budget style of traveling through Alaska. I was traveling with my father and sister so the 2 single beds and queen were perfect for us. Maureen left fresh cookies on the kitchen table as well a fruit, muffins, yogurt,... More

This private cottage was exactly what my 7 year old daughter and I needed while visiting Seward! I highly recommend this clean and comfortable B&B. Plenty of breakfast foods already in the kitchen along with fruits in the fridge and OJ in the freezer. We slept great in the comfortable beds and were close enough to downtown to walk for... More

Clean. Comfortable. QUIET! Met our needs precisely. Reasonably priced. Nice to have wood floors throughout and no pets. Well stocked kitchen--coffee, tea, cereal, bread, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt. Lovely shower:) This unit is separate from main house. It has its own entry, balcony facing Mt. Alice, grill was available with lawn chairs outside. Parking right in front of house. Upstairs... More

We enjoyed the Brass Lantern very much. It was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. I was really surprised with the variety of breakfast foods provided in our kitchen. There were muffins, oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruits, yogurt, milk, orange juice, bagels, breads, and some freshly baked cookies. The location was convenient to most of the attractions... More

Brass Lantern B&B is private, cozy, very clean, quiet, and spacious! Our host was welcoming and accommodating. The fresh fruit and breads basket was delicious and plentiful! I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The linens looked like new and smelled so fresh! Brass Lantern is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Seward. I highly recommend this B&B!

Brass Lantern B&B gets an A+ rating from our family. The B&B provides outstanding views of the soaring peaks across Resurection bay from Seward. The location is superb, located just a couple of blocks from the best part of downtown. We were in need of doing some laundry, and finding a Laundromat downtown (just 1 block away) was also very... Good deal for the price. Nice view with a quaint little balcony. Clean kitchen, clean bathroom, clean everywhere. Enough towels. Just enough space. The upstairs tv room was very comfortable to be in, with the kitchen conveniently next to it. They even had a grill downstairs (outside), which we used and loved. We had told them we had a 1... More
