The B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere is spectacular. Surrounded by history, you are centered in the paratrooper landing zones of D-Day. The views are both beautiful and somber. Vivian and Rodolphe have perfected hospitality with a fine mix of history, food, wine, and accommodations. The enthusiasm they displayed was infectious. Their assistance with reservations and recommendations from a... More

It should be your duty to go stay at B&B a la Bataille de La Fiere! The accomodations, hospitality, and company are excellent. The B&B is an excellent place to stay and relax but you can't stay without paying your respects to the overwhelming amount of history in the area. Since I made my Normandy visit as a short notice... Historic and picturesque, a la Bataillie de La Fiere B&B is warm and welcoming. It satisfies travelers’ desire for traditional hospitality combined with modern creature comforts and beautiful surroundings. Hosts Vivian and Rodolphe extend themselves in order to provide well-appointed en suite rooms and marvelous breakfasts, including gourmet dishes and local specialties. From the time Vivian and Rodolphe greet you at the front door until the time you sadly must say " goodbye " you have shared a " special place " in history with charm and grace. The battlefield is literally at the front door where the 82nd Airborne Division won the day. Their memorial, just across the road, makes us... More

This is our third visit and won't be our last! Absolutely charming hosts, we always have a wonderful welcome. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect to visit all the historical sites from WW11. All this makes this B&B hard to beat! Looking forward to our next visit.

Had the best time in the Normandy Region all because this wonderful Bed and Breakfast! I will definitely be a returning visitor in the future! This B&B has two things that most assuredly set it apart from the average B&B: Location - Located just to the west of Sainte-Mere-Eglise, literally across the road from the Airborne Memorial. The short drive... More

We had a delightful experience staying at La Fiere over the first weekend in April! We were met with a bubbly, excited to meet us Vivian, whom we felt like old friends with after only a short time talking with her. She and Rodolphe have created an extremely pleasant atmosphere at La Fiere that provides you with a unique opportunity... More

I signed up for a Tripadvisor account just write this review. If you are going to Normandy, I HIGHLY recommend this B&B. This clean, historic building with modern rooms (yet very welcoming), and an outstanding breakfast, is in situated in the middle of WWII history (paratrooper drop, a key battle & the location of medal of honor winner)...but that's only... What a charming place to stay while visiting Normandy. Vivian and Rodolphe are just the perfect hosts. They helped us plan our trip as what to see, where to eat, even assisting with maps of where to go when we left. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked an extra night. My husband was happy as there was Wi-fi... More
