We needed a place in Anchorage for one night, after our friends' wedding. We got Hampton Inn on a budget travel site. It was clean, but by no means nice. Less than attentive staff. But, all in all, you get what you pay for.

We came in late on the Coastal Classic Alaska Railroad train and had the Denali Star the next morning. Free shuttle to airport, downtown, etc. All the staff were nice and very hospitable. Rooms were quiet...esp compared to our other hotel stay in downtown Anchorage where we heard loud trains all night. We liked the large jacuzzi and indoor pool and the large washers/dryers.

This hotel is in a great location. It is easy to get here from the airport as well as travel to nearby attractions in Anchorage or even made a day trip to Seward.
