This hotel is updated, but the building is very old. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The elevators were very "scruffy" looking and made noises. Our room was newly remodeled. After some time, the TV eventually worked and the flat screen was worth the wait. We had planned to swim and use the whirlpool later in the evening...

We loved this hotel. Great location if visiting Lincoln sites. Safe, parking, clean. Nicely decorated for Christmas on 12/12/11. Nice king room, spacious. Only negative was bathroom was extremely small, but nice and clean. Great choices of bars and restaurants near by if you don't want to eat at the hotel restaurant. We ate breakfast, nice, and dinner, ok at...

I actually stayed in two rooms on this trip. I spent the first night with friends & the second night with my husband. Both rooms were nice. The first room had 2 double beds, the second was 1 king bed. My problem with everything was it was HOT. I like it to be cool in the rooms when I sleep....

I liked this hotel a lot. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, well-located, with nice staff and nice amenities. I was happy to see it also has free wireless internet AND two restaurants downstairs: a "pub"-style bar with some appetizers at night, and a good breakfast place. This is especially important because there is not exactly a plethora of breakfast options...

I was very surprised to get this hotel when I participated in Travelocity's "top secret hotels" option because it is probably one of the ritziest places I have stayed at. When we arrived I was very excited about the proximity to all the downtown attractions we wanted to visit. We no longer needed to struggle with parking or meters and...

My wife and I stayed at both the first-rated State House Inn and the lower-rated Abe Lincoln on consecutive nights and were thoroughly satisfied with both hotels. The State House had free parking and free breakfast, but the Abe Lincoln rate was lower so our expenses were about the same. The Abe Lincoln is a more attractive building and a...

While attending a conference in Springfield I spent three nights at this hotel. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating, and my room was very nice. I ate at the hotel restaurant a couple of times, and the food was good. Service was a little slow and I got the sense that they were short-staffed. There are a number...

Having stayed at this hotel in the past, I was somewhat hesitant after it was chosen through Priceline. What a pleasant surprise! The hotel has undegone extensive renovations and it was an enjoyable surprise. The bedding and decor were very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and attentive as usual. Even at its worst, it was tolerable because of...
