In going to Atlanta for shows at the Fox Theater, in the past we had stayed in Buckhead and taken the Metro subway to the theater. This time, based on a friend's recommendation, we booked a room at the Melia Atlanta hotel. What a pleasant surprise! Our room was quite comfortable, with great duvets on the beds, a balcony with... The room was spacious, the bed was comfy and I was able to sneak a cig on the private balcony. The staff was the friendliest staff I have encountered in a long time, from the bellman to the check-in clerk to the sports bar staff, all were super friendly and went out of their way to acknowledge us More

Delivers pretty much what you expect from a 4* Melia in Atlanta. Rooms perfectly satisfactory and comfortable. Downsides; the lobby bar is very dark, even in the day. There is meant to be WiFi internet, and there is, but it was a very frustrating experience, with it regularly cutting in and out while I was working. More

I just checked out of the Hotel Melia in Atlanta after my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised. I've known this hotel many years through its several iterations, Stouffer's Hotel, Renaissance Hotel, but it appears that it has been managed by the Spanish chain, Melia, for over 1.5 years. It has a suggestion of a boutique hotel even though it... More

My colleagues and I stayed during our market trip this year. The hotel is very worn (towel bars falling off the walls, door lockset hanging loose.) The street noise is very loud all night. The housekeeping staff did a marginal job - different number of towels each day, no coffee cups 2 days, vacuuming seems optional. No hair dryer. My... More

No coffee pot in the room. Tried for three days to get a coffee pot that worked. They brought two, neither one worked. No hair dryer. Excellent staff but not enough people to serve in the bar. More

This hotel is your best value for the money. I had an incredible city view with a huge balcony. I took the Marta train from the airport and got off at the North Avenue station and walked right across the street to the hotel. It was so nice not having to rent a car and be right in the heart... More

The Melia Hotel is very poorly run. We recently stayed here on a business trip and wished we hadn't. The lobby when you enter is like a bad 70's bar playing the Bee Gees and other 70's music super loud. It was really annoying at the end of a long day. I had no hand soap in my room and... More

This hotel claims to be walking distance from the AmericasMart but is not. The rooms need cleaning (behind bathroom door, carpet not swept for 5 days). The restaurant was sorely understaffed (2 servers-2 conventions filled hotel) The only dinner service is at the bar where a high top table collapsed when touched slightly. Front desk and bell staff courteous but no... More

Dear Guest, We appreciate your feedback and hope that our reply will answer some of your concerns. The AmericasMart is approximately 1 mile from our hotel. It is accessible via Marta (our train system) taking the southbound train from our hotel and exiting 2 stops down at Peachtree Center Station. The Mart also provides shuttle service to many of their... More

In the interest of full disclosure, I didn't actually spend the evening at this hotel - I never made it that far. This is my story... I had to travel to Atlanta on business and at the last second, booked a room at the Melia through Travelocity. A colleague of mine had already made a reservation here so I thought... More
