We have been staying at the Econo for years years, we have graduated to the suites. Some of the rooms are small, but if you don't like small, get a suite. Location is good, close to Mount Rushmore and on a main street. The room was a bit small, but just enough space. And it was a bit noisy. The breakfast was not that bad, we had better in another lodge. The madam behind the desk was very friendly.

We stayed in May and had a great room. We did one of the suites which was large, but the bathroom was really small. The kids loved the pool area and the front desk help was great. The distance is a little far from the down town tourist shops. They let us use the breakfast area to eat our pizza... More

Motel is quite far from center of town, Toni F, the day front desk manager couldn't care less about accommodating early arrivals. No smile and genuine disinterest clearly indicates she's in the wrong business. I'd fire her butt in a heart beat for her uncaring attitude toward guests. I was traveling with my wife, son and my parents(age 80 and 78). When I called to make the reservation I told them about my folks and asked for a first floor room close to a exit. The room was one of the smallest rooms I've stayed in but it was clean. The room rate was affordable for a motel in a tourist town. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was okay....better than some I've seen offered. Motel is convenient to the Mt. Rushmore Memorial. We were satisfied with the service we received.

While the rooms are Very small Glenda at the front desk was very nice and friendly. Rooms were clean. Breakfast encused biscuits and gravy a refreshing change. Location was not a close walking distance to downtown. But was still close. Would stay again

Decent sized room but was using Choice Points to pay for it. Surprised when asked to pay $19 cash. No reason why then and have still never had a refund or explaination.
