This is a very nice motel that is close to Mount Rushmore. Very reasonably priced. Half the cost of the name brand motel around the corner. Had a restaurant attached that had excellent food. Room was very clean and somewhat rustic. Really enjoyed our stay here.

My family stayed at the motel 6 days and 5 nights. They were very reasonably priced and comfortable rooms. We saved money by being able to grill out on the balcony instead of eating out! Comfortable beds, clean rooms, well maintained. Granted it is a little older, concrete block walls and older tub and toilet, everything worked well. Management was... More

Thank you so much for taking time to give us a review. I am ecstatic to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Rushmore View Inn. It really is a great value for both the quality of room, quality of staff, and the location. That is great you were able to grill out in front of the room and... More

We had a gathering of about 35 Valkyrie Motorcycles for a week, based in the Rushmore View Inn. Great to sit around under the balcony, visiting, seeing Mt. Rushmore. After dark, the faces are lighted, and is amazing from outside, visiting. Helpful staff. Nice, mom and pop place. Not a Hilton, but you are not paying for a Hilton either!... More

Charlene, Thank you very much for the review. We are all so glad that you enjoyed the stay along with all of your Valkyrie friends. The Rushmore View is a great place for motorcyclists with the plentiful parking and restaurants withing walking distance. Chase and Laura enjoyed having you stay with them and hope to see you again soon! Thanks... More

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We got a lot of noise from the people above. It sounded like they were constantly moving furniture around. Up late and Up early. You have to go outiside for the view of the faces. We never got new soap. The third day we didn't get new towels. There is no breakfast. No refrigerator.... More

They should be embarrassed and ashamed to call it "View Inn". At the very end of a long narrow balcony, if you have binoculars, you could see Mt. Rushmore. The room smelled, the air conditioner froze and didn't work for a number of hours and the walls are white-washed concrete blocks. It is very, very rundown. My husband and I... More

this place was the greatest. after a 8 hour motorcycle ride my wife and i were dead tired. we went to the first hotel we seen when we entered keystone on 16a. the cost was way out of your budget and we considered camping. it was way to hot to sleep in a tent. we see rushmore view and desided... We just completed a 10,000 mile coast to coast trip. I did a lot of research and Tripadvisor was very helpful. I chose all of our hotels based on previous guest comments. This hotel lived up to all the positive reviews. Friendly service, clean, spacious, and reasonable rates.

This hotel was a superb value considering it's proximity to Mt Rushmore. In fact, when making reservations, we were graciously put into a "monument view" room. My high hopes were dashed when I arrived and realized the view was "partial" at best and required binoculars, but I digress. Our room had a lot of personality. Unfortunately that personality was right... More

Keystone, S.D., at the foot of Mt. Rushmore, has a lot of overpriced motels. On our third inquiry, we found our place to stay: Rushmore View Inn. It was the least expensive, but we didn't want to sacrifice cleanliness or comfort for price, so we asked to see a room, and the friendly manager gave us a key. Our first... More

Date: July 2006 Review: Our extended family of eight just spent a wonderful long weekend in the Black Hills of South Dakota and one of the activities we most looked forward to was the "Pitchfork Fondue" Dinner at the Rushmore View Inn. In researching the dinner, it appeared that the meal would include steak grilled on a pitchfork over charcoal... More
