All we can say is WOW! We've stayed here while performing at The Wiarton Willie festival and can't even begin to list how many great things there are about this place. Ruth and Gord are wonderful hosts, the place is immaculate and tastefully decorated and HUGE! Tons of space and privacy in the main floor area and the rooms are... More

I have been visiting the Bruce Peninsula and staying at Haven on the Bay for the past six years. After each visit, I think, Ruth and Gord cannot make it any better...and yet, each year I return to a higher level of perfection. The rooms are immaculate, tastefully decorated, soothing and comfortable. The breakfast is something to look forward to.... More

My Wife and I spent 2 nights at the end of August and had a great stay. It is beautifully decorated inside and the rooms are exceptionally clean with excellent beds and bedding. The location is great if you want to be in the middle of it all. Close to all the parks and the beaches it may be a... More

My husband and I stayed at Ruth and Gords for 2 nights and appreciated the impeccable mattress and box spring dust mite protectors to be a comforting relief to my allergies. What a wonderful feeling to wake up not sneezing. I was so impressed, that I looked at the label and went out and bought the identical ptotectors by Milano... More

We stayed here with our 7-year-old daughter and had a great time. As others have noted, the modern, clean decor is a refreshing change from the overstuffed, overdecorated look of many old-fashioned B&Bs. The beds were really comfy and the bedroom and bathroom were impeccably clean. The main floor lounge was roomy and inviting with lots of windows letting in... More

Ruth and Gord are the ideal hosts. They are welcoming and accomodating. Their beautiful B&B is newly renovated so the decor is not out of style like most B&B's around....attention to detail is what comes to mind when I think of Haven on the Bay! Gord surprised us by starting the fire out in the garden when we came back... More

The service at Haven on the Bay is excellent, with a friendly feel while maintaining professionalism. Greeted by Gord and Ruth as if we're friends and not just customers, the folks and the house itself are just lovely. We stayed in one of the rooms that is not en-suite, and had to juggle a bit with just one shower. Still,... More

We had such a great weekend away in Red Bay! Not only was it the central location for pretty much everything outdoors, but the hosts were great, the rooms were really nice and comfy and the food was incredible! Whether you wanted to head to the beach, do some fishing or hit a few trails, you were about 15 minutes... More

Our women's hiking group has been going on week end hiking trips for 17 years and Haven on the Bay was our best find yet! Ruth and Gord were helpful and fun to talk to and we loved trying out Ruth's variety of excellent dishes-- from gourmet dinner entrees to breakfast frittata to tasty, healthy sack lunches for hiking. Bright... More

I spent 2 nights here during the summer and found accommodations to be acceptable, but not anything to write home about. The beds are slightly uncomfortable. The house is slightly noisy. The breakfast was nice but bland. Leftovers were offered to us for lunch, which was really appreciated. However, I felt at times like we were intruders. The hosts' moods... More

We try very hard to please as many people as we can. Alas, we are not always successful. We do cater to families and that can become noisy at times. We are one of the few accommodators that allow families with smaller children to stay with us. This type of B&B is limited on the Bruce Peninsula. Our mattress replacement... More
