We checked out today after spending 4 nights. We were here previously 7 years ago. The hotel location is great and all of the views are wonderful. There are two significant problems - the facility is aging and not being maintained (we did have excellent housekeeping service) and EVERYTHING is over priced. Mandatory $30 per day valet ($120 to park... More

We recently stayed at The Grand Wailea in Maui. As described by others, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are well appointed and spacious. The staff was helpful. All of this comes at a high cost. Rental of a simple pool tent for $150 per day seems excessive when compared with what you can get at a similar resort... More

Not only is this the largest employer on the island but it's by far the best resort. The entire grounds seems as though they will never end and you are helped at all times if you need it. You almost never go far without be greeted which is nice always. The price of this resort really isn't bad considering the... More

HOTEL was amazing, but be sure to explore life off the resort too. In hotel restaurants were good, but not as amazing as rest of resort arear. Pools and beach can't be beat.....beautiful. Make sure you rent your own vehicle to explore more of the island and take it all in. can't wait to come back.

Please, do your homework and research other hotels and save yourself the wasted money and time. We chose to "splurge" and found this resort lacking simple amenities that we got at a hotel costing less than half the price. You need to get to the pool at 6:30 am to reserve chairs. We went at 7 and were shut out--could... More

Aloha Reviewer, We are sorry that you were disappointed with our resort. We'd love if you contacted us to discuss your experience. We would be honored to receive your suggestions. We do have more than 3 slides and we are sorry if you missed seeing them all. We have 9 different pools and 7 water slides. Here is the real... More

This hotel is run-down, dirty, over-populated, and fails to provide the basic service one would expect of a "resort," which it is not. No greeting upon arrival. The room was dirty, the refrigerator cabinet was literally crumbling, the carpet stained, and the furnishings worn. No turn down. Housekeeping failed to vacuum the room carpet and generally did little to maintain... More

Positives - Went with my husband for our honey moon. the hotel/resort is huge, with interesting sculpture artwork siting all over the grounds. It sits on the most beautiful beach I've ever seen great for both relaxing or swimming. You can even walk on the sidewalk that runs parallel with the beach from hotel to hotel and take in the... We stayed here for a week to attend a marriage conference. Due to the conference, we received a lower rate for our room than we would have otherwise been willing to pay. I would never pay their listed rack rate. It was our 25th anniversary, so they upgraded us from a partial ocean view to a deluxe ocean view room.... More

This is a very big hotel... If you want to get lost somewhere it is the place for you. For so expensive a hotel it's amazing that everything is extra so plan on spending about db the room rate. Cabana cost $300 plus a day to rent as an example and are situated in the best spots everywhere. Many cabanas... More

Just returned from a 7 night stay at the Grand Wailea. First, we were treated extremely well by the staff in the Napua tower where we enjoyed a spectacular corner king room on the 7th floor. Napua Tower is sold by amenties, and not by views, so we felt quite lucky to receive such a lovely room. Every concierge in... More
