They picked us up in Quito and stopped with us at Tulipe on the way and helped translate (don't skip Tulipe). After a long flight, we loved the calm of this lodge. What we liked: good breakfast, very good meals available all day, excellent juice, clean, hardwood floors. Competitive price. Least: too small bathroom for a stay of several days, restaurant and internet room closed at 9 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. as it is written on the door.

While there are surely cheaper places in Mindo, we always choose the Dragonfly Inn. Rooms are beautiful—all wood, bright white linens, and hot showers.
