We and friends had a great stay at the Pacific Harbour Lodge. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The facilities were immaculate. Cute little chalets. Very comfortable with evrything we needed. The only drawback was the proximity to the firestation and the occasional siren disturbing the peace and quiet. We recommend.

We recently stayed in a queen lodge and found the wooden cabin to be very comfortable and we loved the tropical-feeling surroundings with palm trees, bright flowers and shell-covered paths. The location was so peaceful and the service excellent (thanks Robert) - not even the weather could spoil our short stay. We had breakfast included in our deal and ate... More

Wanted a getaway for a couple of days and this was perfect. After reading the reviews we asked for a waterfront chalet and we got one. Staff were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate our needs with two little kiddies. Cute little chalets made it feel like a resort. TV may have been a bit fuzzy... More

We stayed here during the week, just to get away from the city life for a couple of days. We cant understand why recent reviewers didn't enjoyed it as we had a really lovely time. The rooms at the waterfront are little more expensive as the garden chalets but we bought an upgrade as offered. The upgrade was worth the... More

The web photographs made this establishment look far more attractive than the reality. All in all a bit tired and in need of refurbishing. Chalets are close to one another although the small gardens were pleasant. Very average. Fantastic breakfast from the cafe on the North side of the buildings,

The photo on line looks deceptive. Great if you get one of the 6 or so chalets overlooking the estuary, otherwise you might get, like us, another chalet 8 metres away looking straight into yours and just behind the main street. It is well planted out but chalets are tired. No heated towel rail so our towels were damp in... More

What makes this place better than average are the staff and location. The management are extremely helpful and pleasant. German speaking too. The lodge is Right in Tairua and on the estuary. The chalets are showing their age but comfy. Value for money stopover while enjoying the Coromandel. They supply spades and towels for Hot Water Beach. Walk or drive... More

Had the misfortune to get a twin chalet. Had no furniture at all on our extremely dirty outside seating space (next to a street parking). Very old wood furniture, no bathromm amendities on both nights (no soap, Hair or showergel). Breakfast at Restaurant on the other side of the street was the worst we had in 3 weeks. Would not... Great hotel, upon arrival we received fantastic, friendly and informative service by Robert and staff. Robert was a great host, it definitely shows that he is passionate about his work. The room was spacious and an ideal location for hot water beach. We will be returning. Many thanks Glenn, Teresa and Katie
