We have a small camper, and yes a generator (sorry tenters!) We run a VERY quiet Honda and only during allowed hours. The loop (C loop) is primarily campers with a some tent campers with sites off the road so noise is lessened. Wow the views are incredible and we have decided to come here again every year we are... We stayed at Moraine Park with our two kids (both under 10yo) and we'd recommend it. We were in site 107, which was a walk-in of about 70-80 yards. We liked the site because we were a little farther from the other nearby sites but still had decent access to the bathrooms. We started out in site 95, which was... More

A friend and I camped here in November, and despite the bitter cold we had a blast. There were very few other campers, but we we found them to be friendly and had pleasant conversations with many. The view of Long's Peak from the campground is fantastic. The best part of the trip was waking up to elk bugeling and... More

We got rained on, so that was a little unpleasant, but as far as the campground goes, it was great. Friendly greeting, wonderful spot (site 3), great view, and close enough to Estes Park that if you forgot something, you could go pick it up. No showers, so we just went to the nearby laundromat which had public showers. A... More

People in other reviews who are whining about lack of amenities...good grief. It's a drive-up campsite...sorry it doesn't have showers and wi-fi! ;) This was a great one-night campsite for a couple in a tent. Cool views, wildlife sightings, etc. There was a family next to us who thought it would be a good idea to bring a very young... More

We recently "car camped" at Moraine Park Campground in the first weekend in August 2012. First off, this campground is well situated on the western side of Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Note that you will have to pay the typical $20 per vehicle reusable entrance fee to RMNP in order to access the campground. The views are amazing at almost... More

Our family loved our campsite, #95. It had an open view of Longs Peak, was next to the flush toilets and dish washing station, had great boulders behind us for the kids to climb on and sit and read on. Some sites were a bit crowded but overall each site had plenty of room. There are minimal low bushes so... More

We stayed 4 nights in Moraine Park Campground. We loved our site (A123) and had plenty of room and were close to a bear box which was very handy... the toilets were fine - only gripe was the light above the sinks was not working and there was no way to dry your hands. But if only they would install... More

As a tent camper, I agree with most of these other reviewers' comments about Moraine Park CG: many of the campsites are close together, Moraine Park Campground has really beautiful views, and the bathrooms are very clean and have soap (!) and flushable toilets. We are tent campers and do not like to listen to generators in the next door... More
