First off, very easy to find, literally within eyesight from rmnp entrance (side note: the people working the entrance booths, probably the friendliest gov employees I've ever encountered, all were very very nice). Windy road takes you back to campsites, the only downside, the sites were closer together than expected, but the vistas were worth it. Next time though, will... More

This is right on par with most campground in the country. I loved the area, being from Ga. The Ricky's are amazing. There are lots of hiking, skiing, fishing, and a lot of good sights! We are primitive campers so I am not sure how big of an R.V. They except but there were plenty of them in the park.

We stayed at this campground in an RV (Aspenglen didn't have hook-ups). It was a quiet and relaxing place to stay in the canyon with the giant rock mountains on each side of us - beautiful! There is a river that flows through the campground that is nice to walk to - our kids liked climbing on the rocks. Aspenglen... More

This is a nice campground-- a lot more appealing than the Timber Creek Campground which is grim. (I didn't see the other campgrounds in the park). The location is just five miles to Estes Park, so it's a good base if you want to go into town as well as into the park. The scenery right from the campground is... More

We had a walk-in tent site next to a creek. It was very peaceful and offered some seclusion from other campsites. The bathrooms had running water--but only cold. It was great to wake up to the sound of running water & watching dippers in the stream. Agree the other reviewer who said the rangers were nice & helpful.

We stopped here on the first night of our 3 week National Park tour. Very nice campground. We had one of the walk in tent sites. Very private, and they have a tent platform, which as we found out makes for nice sleeping when you are not sliding to the bottom of the tent. The bathroom was clean. I did... More

We tent camped here and enjoyed it a lot. What a lovely place! You need to pay to enter Rocky Mountain National Park (unless you have a pass), and then it is an additional fee to camp. It is very inexpensive and worth it. The rangers were very kind and friendly. At the time, they allowed fires in the campsites,... More
