Stayed here last month , stayed in the Curwen house .i was greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave me directions to the house. Room was quaint but cold , I had to get up at about 4 am and light the fire . Breakfast was nice, good selection. Would I stay here again , yes indeed .

Stayed here due to poor weather on a drive to Maine, the people were helpful and friendly but the room was dirty and didn't smell great. But the bed was very comfortable. Also nice location for going out in Salem.

Loved the quaintness and charm of the inn. We are Australian and enjoy the snow so this,coupled with the peace and atmosphere gave us a wonderful holiday we wil never forget.Would highly recommend the Salem inn to those who are looking for a romantic break and/or appreciate old world charm(and an open fireplace in your room).

We stayed there for two nights. It was comfortable, but not worth more than two stars. Breakfast was frazzled and disorganized. They were booked and not prepared. Kept on running out of coffee -- not enough seats in the breakfast room. I would stay there again if I had to, but if I didn't have to, I would stay elsewhere.
