Adobe character-filled hotel on Plaza in Santa Fe. Lobby interesting mix of tiles, south-western furniture, boutique shops and the La Plazuela restaurant. Rooms clean and quiet although I got some noise in the morning from the delivery trucks outside my window. A warm and welcoming place to come back to from the snowy March outdoors. Room service included turndown with... more

This historic hotel was beautiful, comfortable and very convenient. The rooms are all different and I checked out a few. The best room, on which we settled, was spacious, had a fire place and a balcony, all for $139 per night, off season. It was easily worth double the price. The hotel is right in the center of downtown and... more

La Fonda is charming - quaint - and quintessentially Santa Fe. This only thing I could possibly say negative about the hotel is that some of the furnishing were a little worn but by the end that is just another part that makes it so unique. However - our room was impeccably clean and I loved that they kept the... more

I've stayed at La Fonda many times and each time is better than the last. Becky, at the front desk, helped me get a great room with a fire place. Great food and shopping in the hotel and within walking distance. Extremely clean room and top notch service will keep me coming back. Thanks!!! more

The restaurant, La Plazuela, had friendly wait staff that remembered our preferences for tea. The food was great. It was fun exploring the hotel and finding art and history in the nooks and crannies. more

I love this place--always have. It epitomizes Santa Fe to me. As one with allergies, the only thing that would make it better is if one had the option to get rid of all the down and get a hypoallergenic comforter and pillow. Otherwise, I love the cozy rooms and in single digit weather, I didn't even have to turn... more

Staff were very friendly, and seem to really enjoy their work. Had several excellent meals (dinners and breakfasts) in La Plazuela restaurant. The room was lovely and unique. The entire hotel feels like a living history. The bed was very comfortable, and the location on the Plaza can't be beat. Great art in the room. more

My wife and I were moving from CA to CO and we stopped in SF to stay the night. We found La Fonda on this site and decided to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it even though it was off-season and very cold (outside, not in the hotel). The rooms were nicely decorated and the staff was friendly and hospitable. We... more

I have stayed at other hotels however La Fonda surpassed the others by far. The staff was very nice, the bellman was really helpful and friendly. A plus I must say is the complementary water bottles (there is nothing worse than having to pay for water bottles that are already in your room.) I also liked that there was inside... more
