Nice amenities like double porch, hot tub, full kitchen, AC and located by the river. But this property is very well-worn. The few cooking pans are old, scratched teflon. Mold on the shower curtain. Lots of dusty dried flowers and knicknacks. Couch cover/pillows are dirty and dampish. The pine bed frame is seriously cracked and squeaky. AC is only in... More

I decided to surprise my boyfriend with a romantic getaway to the mountains and choose Luray, VA. I found the woodruff inns online and it appeared that they had a great reputation so I figured I was safe booking our first B&B experience. I should have known better when making the reservation as the person booking did not live in... More

My husband and I are newlyweds, and this was our first stay at a B&B. My husband can be "frugal" and didn't understand why we needed to stay at a B&B when there were other, cheaper places, but I assured him that the extra service, the gourmet breakfast, etc. were worth the extra money. We had originally booked at the... More

My husband and I stay at bed and breakfasts fairly regularly. Unfortunately, I was busy and waited too late to attempt to make reservations for the celebration of our 12th wedding anniversary in October 2012. The last time we had stayed at the Victorian Inn in Luray, Virginia was close to ten years ago, but we had had a good... More

I was hoping to return from a wonderful stay at the Victorian Inn, and to write an elaborate review about how wonderful the stay was. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the overall service at the Victorian Inn. Quite simply, our visit lacked finesse and quality service. Upon arriving at 3:00 pm (which was agreed upon at the time I... More

The Victorian Inn Shenandoah Kitchen is the best in the area. We stayed the night in the Turret Suite, it is unlike any place the two of us have seen! The restaurant staff took us to our room and we had a little get away.... They offered live music outside, free of charge! Previous "Is this a joke?" Our response... More

Rooms are designed well but slightly aged. Service is understaffed but friendly. Breakfast is a fixed menu that could leave you wanting more. You can hear your neighbors and vice versa. The jacuzzi is amazing. Location is cool but on Luray'a main st so not great if you want remote.

I had a chance to revisit The Victorian Inn under the new management/chef/owner. He comes to the turnstile known as the Victorian Inn. Once a very nice "family" Inn and humble restaurant that has changed hands so many times as it has changed seasons. Now a new neon "OPEN" sign and big banner out front saying we are open half... We recently stayed at Treetop Escape, managed by Woodruff Inns of Luray, Virginia on our visit to Shenendoah National Park. The cabin is very close to the Shenandoah River and about 9 miles from the Park. It is about 4 miles from the town of Luray and hard to find the first time. Plan to arrive during the daylight hours!... More

Took a trip out for an anniversary weekend, and was looking forward to a great trip because overall the place had great reviews. The issues- -VERY musty smelling room. Sort of junky tile floors with a few rugs covering up some spots. Hair in the bathtub, along with a large spider that kind of creeped my wife out. Doesn't really... More
