The Hilton Waikiki Beach hotel offers a prime location that is popular among guests for its accessibility to the beach and local attractions. However, some travelers have been disappointed by the underwhelming temporary pool and hidden fees impacting the value perception. While the service receives mixed reviews, ranging from commendable to dismissive, guests also report contrasting experiences regarding room cleanliness and upkeep. Additionally, a number of reviewers warn about the noise disruption, which has been a drawback for those seeking restful sleep.

Great find at the last minute. We were desperate to get off a cruise and felt extremely fortunate to find a room at this hotel. With Hilton honor points, the price was great. Deli in lobby was great for picking up coffee and snacks. Beach towel dispenser came in so handy. Although the rooms were small the hotel maximized the space usage so we were able to comfortably settle in for a few days. Staff was helpful. Great shopping in the area. Walking distance to several sites: zoo, US Military Museum and the beach. Definitely an older hotel but still great.

My wife and I went to Waikiki beach first time, Feb 15-27. $325 a night ocean view. $45 facility fee a day, but the cabana on the 10th floor outside pool is for rental. My question is what is the $45 facility fee for and you have to pay to use facility equipment? On top of this another $60 per night total tax. On the plus note, the view we got was nice with photo attached on 25th floor. 4 stars for location with 5 minutes walk to the beach and 3 stars for worthiness.

Aloha, Thank you for choosing our hotel for your first visit to Waikiki and for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the beautiful views from your room and our convenient location close to the beach. We apologize for any confusion regarding the resort fee and the use of our cabanas, daybeds, and equipment. This fee is intended to cover a range of amenities we offer to enhance our guests' stays, however, we understand the frustration. We appreciate your insights as they help us to improve our services and offerings. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a more satisfying experience. Mahalo!

Hilton for the stay! Wow ! what a pleasant surprise..views are amazing, service is outstanding, and the vibe is tropical chill..not the busy on top of yourself scenario at the sheraton waikiki or outrigger..much more relaxed with a roof top bar and heated jacuzzi. I loved this visit as much as the many I have stayed at 5 star beach front resorts. The magic show was Vegas quality and unique complete with the magic merlin the norwegian bunny in the hat with the blue eyes..so fun! starbucks, shopping and sushi and best ramen/poke within walking distance..and the value is refreshing. Back soon..The boat trips for snorkel, sunset etc are quick walking distance..great location at a fair price for 4 star hotel with old Hawaiian vibe. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

Very comfy beds, clean, decent amenities. Staff was very attentive, especially the security manager who was extremely helpful when my husband had a health emergency. The hotel is a few blocks from the beach. The Waikiki hubbub is also a few blocks away but is a nice walk. Bar staff at the pool were great.

This was a very average stay. The hotel facilities are lacklustre. The gym is small and not very well equipped. It was really cramped on there some mornings. I’m not sure why there is a resort fee, or why it is so high. Bizarrely it includes DVD rental - we thought this was a novelty and tried to rent one. However, the dvd player in the room (no, really) wasn’t connected to the tv. Lei-making is available (part of the resort fee?) - lots of fun, def do it The restaurant had some very nice staff in it, but the food was overpriced and uninspired. The Hhonors credit ($18) is probably enough to get you one dish from the menu. Toast was $4 for two slices of bread. The restaurant also has branded hats available to buy($20). There is a magic show onsite that costs $99. There is also an onsite magician who does cute parlour tricks in the lobby. One redeeming feature of this hotel is the staff who are absolutely wonderful. Receptionists are so exceptional (shoutout to Dexter, Frill and Jennifer) who exemplified kindness and welcoming and were ambassadors for the brand. The room was clean and bright and had excellent views. I would also say that the onsite laundry is great, and there is mini golf on the 10th floor.

One would think, you cannot go wrong with a Hilton - think again! If this would be some other unbranded middle class averagely priced hotel, I'd say it was quite okay. However, considering this to be run as a Hilton, I'd expect way more. Starting with charging a resort fee without being a resort and providing only the standard amenities that one would expect of a hotel of this provenience, but nothing more (like free bicycles for guests, shuttle to the beach, free boards/kayaks at the beach, stuff like this) this doesn't really hit the mark. The hotel itself has had its best days many years ago and presents itself rather worn and aged, which would be okay for an average hotel, but doesn't live up to the expectation one would associate with a Hilton. Having booked via Qantas, we were told that this stay wouldn't qualify for Hilton Honours points and nights accrual, which was another disappointing experience. Our so called welcome present of 250 points was just a chance for the tour desk staff to start a conversation about time share investment. This, I'd consider to be a rather predatory marketing strategy and is something I don't want to be bothered with in my precious holiday time. Room cleaning is by default scheduled every four days and guests have to demand daily cleaning extra to get this. I understood the reduced frequency during COVID times, but now after the crisis this is only stingy and once again not what I would expect of a Hilton branded hotel. By the way, the first couple of days we only found two tiny soap bars in the bathroom and after that only one set of shampoo, conditioner and lotion - for two people. Bodywash was not provided, we had to buy our own. Again, okay for a cheap motel, not okay for Hilton. The hair dryer in the bath room was so filthy and clogged up that it could hardly be used, not to speak of the fact that one wouldn't want the dirt be blasted into ones face. After mentioning this at the reception, they replaced it, however, the "new" one was in an even worse condition. Therefore it was hair drying in the air for the stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach for us. There has been a fire alarm during our stay with the evacuation of the whole building. Whilst this is something that can happen, we were surprised having to hang around the street and the emergency vehicles without a single Hilton staff member to be seen and taking care of the guests. Overall, I think the lustre of Hilton has faded and despite the prices they charge and marketing promises they make, the real experience doesn't live up to the expectations anymore. Would we stay again? Rather no.
