This historic Victorian house is located near the University, practically right off the the main H1 hwy. Do not stay here if you do not have a car and if you're looking for tons of modern conveniences. The owner is very kind, if quiet, but is available should you need anything. The location is great because you're not right in... More

The Manoa Valley Inn was such a charming place to stay. We traveled with another couple in mid April. They stayed in the Baldwin Suite and we stayed in the Davies Suite. Both rooms brought you back in time. They were spacious, comfortable, clean rooms. Our suite had a beautiful view of the city lights. Their suite was on the... More

Nice and peaceful place to stay just near the center of Honolulu, the University and the main H1 Hwy. You need to know that this is an old Victorian house so if you are looking for A/C and a modern and new bathroom then choose a hotel in Waikiki, but if you prefer something more authentic far from the discos... Everything about the Manoa is inviting and friendly. It is truly a home-away-from-home stay with a rich history. If you are looking for a comfortable, homey, quiet place away from all the crowds, this is the place to stay. It is directly across from the university but surprisingly not congested at all. If you are looking for a contemporary or... More

We stayed for 5 nights without a car and the location was perfect - 1 block from all the buses that serve Waikiki and Honolulu, and walking distance to the University (we actually walked downhill 2 miles to Waikiki!) . The atmosphere of the Inn itself was very hospitable. There were couches in the garden to relax on, with access... More

We had a very pleasant stay. We stayed in the Davies room with with the feature of a couple of permanently open screened windows. Very comfortable sleeping at night. Great distance view of downtown Honolulu. Breakfasts were very tasty. The staff went out of there way to help with a comfortable stay.

Aloha, Thank you all for staying with us! Spring is busting out with an amazing growth of new plants, vegetables and flowers, adorning our home and yours away from home. Our garden is producing vegetables and organic eggs come in from our youngest son’s farm in Waimanalo on the other side of the island. Fifteen months as an innkeeper and... More

We stayed here several nights in January 2013. It is a wonderful old house with a lot of character. It's located a block away from the university (the main reason we chose it) and very close to bus lines - so if you don't have a car, you can easily get to Waikiki, the USS Arizona Memorial, the airport, and... First and foremost, this is a historic hotel on the historical register of something or other. It's mostly period appropriate. It's just about 100 yrs. old. If you're looking for modern or brand-spanking new, this isn't the place for you. That being said, the hosts were magnificent. Very helpful people, breakfast every morning with fresh fruit (all I really cared... More

We stayed two nights in the Davies room with an excellent view of downtown Honolulu and refreshing breezes. Our hostess, Monica cooked and served the best breakfast of our trip (better than any restaurant or other B&B in Hawaii or the Mainland!) with fresh local fruit, savory vegetables, organic teas/hot chocolate, eggs cooked to order, bacon, breads and more--something for... The staffs and manager were extremely smart and friendly, they would arranged the great trip of city, surf activities. Otherwise, some fantastic restaurants at the surrounds were great.
