“All Travelers Should Stop Here!”

When traveling to Valdez or leaving Valdez via the Richardson Highway you should definitely stop at the Tonsina Lodge mile post 76 for an incredible experience of Russian Cuisine. “Outstanding food!”

The room is basic Alaska (although it has a TV), and is quite clean. The food here is amazing! I'd recommend stopping for a meal, even if you aren't planning on spending the night. The service is appropriate and friendly, and there are several friendly small dogs wandering the place, to make you feel at home

If you haven't had a chance to visit Tonsina River Lodge you are missing a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a wonderful variety of Russian cuisine along with American food. The Russian dumplings, pickled cabbage and shish kabobs were out of this world. The Borsch is the best I have ever had. Stop by and check them out
