After staying in Curry Village for about 6 days, coming to Tuolumne Lodge for our last 2 nights was a little disconcerting. It was VERY quiet. The canvas tents are just like the ones in Curry village, except these have no electricity. I felt like a pioneer (in a good way), and the light from the candles, along with the... More

Wonderful stay in August at this well run campground/lodge location. The lodge part is a small building where you check in, charge your phone if you like, and eat breakfast or dinner in the casual restaurant, if you care to reserve a seat. The actual lodging accomodations are in large, canvas tents, fully set up with pretty comfortable beds, sheets,... More

I've stayed at Tuolumne Meadows Lodge many times. Sometimes at the beginning or end of a High Sierra Camp hike and sometimes just for the High Country ambiance of Yosemite. The only downside it can be a bit crowded in the summer but nearly as bad as Yosemite Valley. The accommodations are the typical tent cabins. Lodge has small store... More

If you're expecting a hotel you'll be disappointed but if you are expecting a tent you'll be delighted. The "tents" have hard floors, hard doors and "windows" with mesh nets over so you can get a nice breeze through while keeping the bugs out. There's a wood burning stove which can get a little smoky (close the door else you'll... More

I visited the park and stayed in Tuolumne Meadows, and went on a trip to the High Sierra camps. At the time I started the first death had been documented from the hantavirus and the Park Service and Public Health Service chose to hide this information from us. The camps were not clean. They were under pressure to not use... More

Tuolumne Meadows is one of the most beautiful places in Yosemite and it's always a pleasure to visit. On my most recent trip (2 days ago) we stayed at the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge. Right from the beginning we were not thrilled. Upon entering our tent cabin we discovered mouse droppings. We were very surprised as cleaning the cabins properly is... More

Unless you bring your own camping equipment or trailer/ RV, the 'lodge is the only place to stay in the high country unless you go out of the park. The location is absolutely beautiful, soaking feet in the river, enjoy the end of the day sitting along side it or near the big camp fire cannot be beat. The tent... More

That's glamorous camping. If you come to the Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, be prepared for comfortable camping! I stayed there two nights and slept better than I do at home. The tent cabin was clean and featured a comfortable mattress, warm bedding and towels. There is a shared bathroom and showers (like camping) but we enjoyed hot water and plenty of... More

I normally camp so it is hard for me to pay $150 to basically camp but on this trip I was unable to bring my gear so decided to give this a try. I have visited YNP and the high country many, many times. I stayed for one night during high season. The tent was $130/night with breakfast about $20... More

Tuolomne Lodge is a great tent camp experience, nestled up next to the river you feel as if you are really camping without all of the work. The tents are spaced well apart, are clean and comfortable. They feel very homey with their table and chairs. The food served at the lodge is delicious, if a bit pricey. The portions... More
