“Ostrander Lake Trail - Yosemite National Park”

Enjoyed a wonderful hike off the Glacier Point road yesterday (7/12/10) Saw only 5 or 6 people the entire day! Wildflowers are starting to bloom and the next two weeks should be spectacular in this area. “Backcountry Skiers Only!”

This incredible backcountry ski hut, built in 1940 by the CCC, is only open in the winter and can only be reached by skiing 9 - 10 miles, off piste, uphill with at least a 30 lb. pack. It has no running water and rustic toilet facilities. But it does have great telemark/cross country skiing, great views, and interesting people.

“Five Star Elegance Above Yosemite Valley!”

This majestic structure provides the finest in hotelry. Sumptous dining, spectacular scenery, and world-class location. The capable, competant staff keep this lovely establishment in excellent condition. Stunning views across a mountain cirque. An experience truly not to be missed!
