we too read our guide book which said it was good quality/price value. But we don't agree. it was very expensive for a place that was dirty the curtains the only method of privacy did not meet in the middle and were falling off ! the a/c didn't work! and when signalled the owner didn't really seem bothered about providing... We came here having read our guidebook that said Weligama was the place to be and Mirissa was still quiet. I guess we has an old guidebook as the opposite was true and we moved to Mirissa pretty quickly. We just ended our fourth stay at Jagabay and it was fab as always! Gorgeous beach, great people, and stellar food. If you're staying, do try the grilled tuna...amazing! As always, Jagath and his staff do everything to make your stay special.

Hotel is not very modern , but very nice with the very good restaurant . For the money we paid absolutely excellent . Owner is very friendly helping in every moment . As of location it is close to the harbor which is nice if you would like to visit fish market or have trip to for the whales .... More

We stayed two nights in this quiet resort, beautiful beach not crowded, delicious food, very kind staff, pleasant garden, good price value, no problem to reach Weligama centre by tuk-tuk. Nothing to complain about.
