Just spent five days on the Corn Islands, Nicaragua. The wife and I stayed at the Paraiso Beach Hotel on Big Corn Island. This was the highlight of our stay on the islands. Don't stay there! We booked it for 4 nights and didn't even manage to stay for 24 hours. What a terrible place. I understand rustic and I've done cabanas style accommodation in Honduras and Mexico before but Paraiso is a total dump.it is so overpriced we couldn't believe it. “Teach your staff to listen.”

Breakfast was overpriced and the waitstaff can't wrap their heads around doing anything but giving you your meal as it is listed on the menu. I asked for NO Eggs, and they brought me a plate full of eggs and no fruit. GET YOUR ACTS TOGETHER!

After a great trip through a lot of places in Nicaragua, we ended up on Big Corn Island. We walked in the Paraiso hotel. Immediately we knew, this is what the doctor ordered.
