It cost an arm and a leg just to fing faeces in the shower and tampons and condoms under the bed.Severly filthy and un-higenic loud music all hours and fighting outside. What a filthy place i should have stayed in the car and saved my money.Mark Andrews the owner should be ashamed and re-fund me my money. But instead refused and spat... Stayed here last night, it claims to be a hotel, perhaps the owners need to look.at the definition of the word "hotel". Place in darkness, fire hazard, no lift, bed lumpy, place stunk, to turn the bath taps on you had to get in the bath as shower screen is glued to the side.of bath. Kettle flex didn't reach. Never... Avoid! Claims to be a "3 star hotel", more like cheap B&B rooms above a pub, except it is not cheap. Turned up at 9.45 pm to find the "hotel" (actually pub) dark and a lady just about to lock up sellotaping a message for me on the outside door. Cold room, tiny TV that didn't work, toilet not flushing... More

Stayed there for one night, the bed was dirty, the noise wall awful, the staff were very rude, the breakfast looked like it had been heated up from the day before. NEVER again, you should be ashamed. More

Used to stay at the Chequers 13-14 years ago and it was always nice enough. However, to say things had taken a nose-dive since we were there last would be a bit of an understatement! The first thing we noticed after parking the car (at lunchtime) was the really loud music coming from the saloon bar. Upon entering the building... More

We book a lot of B&B's and were asked to black-list this one by the guests that stayed there. Room had visible damp, no central heating system and the electric heaters in the room were broken so the room was freezing. A curtain was missing. The room stank of smoke. There was a rave downstairs that lasted until 1am (never... More

We stoped here for the second time, basically because we needed to be in Holbeach. We had been there before, around 4 years ago, and was not expecting much. You dont have too many options in Holbeach. The hotel is basically a pub with rooms. That said this time our double room was quite pleasent and ceratinly clean. The other... More

The hotel is currently being refurbished but at present the rooms do need a good lick of paint and freshening up and the carpets are in need of being changed. The rooms however were clean. I would advise the hotel to changes the matresses as these were not the most comfortable. The bathroom was ok, again clean but desperately needed... More
