This B & B was our first stop over on our trip around Scotland. Andrew welcomed us warmly and looked after us well. The rooms are beautifully kitted out , a little small but fine. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We were amused by all the quirky memorabilia and ornaments around the house, eg the sound of hooting... More

This was the third time we stayed with Andrew at The Moorings because we love to stay there. Andrew does a wonderful job of making you feel welcome. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are super comfortable. Tarbert is a great place to stay and Andrew's B and B is A-1. More

Booked this B&B following tripadvisor reviews and glad we did. Superb views, lovely comfortable room, great breakfast and charming house and owner. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Tarbert now we've found this. More

We have used Andrews b&b on a number of occassions and each time you visit it just seems to get better, any one looking for b&b in this area would not be dissappointed. More

Arriving in Tarbert for an early ferry to Islay, we had heard of the warm hospitality offered by Andrew. Without a booking, Andrew welcomed us into his maticously maintained and decorated B&B. If you are short of site seeing, spend time looking around the treasure trove that is The Moorings. Wonderful beds and personal attention to detail, Andrew is the... More

My friend and I stayed at The Moorings for 2 nights on our recent holiday in Scotland. We had booked a twin room with a private bathroom. When I rang to confirm the booking Andrew (the lovely owner) offered us the family room with ensuite instead for only a little bit more money. Andrew was by far and away the... More

We stayed at The Moorings for 4 nights. We chose the Moorings after seeing the views online and looking at the other choice in the Village. All we can say is that we got it right. We were lucky enough to get the En Suite room on the front of the house. The view out to the harbour and into... More

On arriving at the Moorings, being early on the day, our host, Andrew, was still arranging our room but still had time to welcome us and allowed us to leave our luggage so we could have a look around the village without struggling with bags. On returning he was just finishing off (very meticulous). the b&b was just a short... More

What a wonderful place! Great bed, great food, great host, great view..... there's just nothing to fault at The Moorings. Quiet location, but within walking distance of everything. And we loved the dogs too! More
