We arrived late in the afternoon without a booking as it was a rushed trip. Carrie was exceptional, she greeted us with the utmost of professionalism and due to our circumstances gave us a great room which fit the number of guests and then some. We were even given a few perks which made our difficult situation all that more bearable. The room was extremely large, very clean & without a thing out of place. Breakfast is included in the price & the options were just what we needed to start another long day of travelling Thank you Carrie for everything and thank you Quality Inn Rimbey for such fantastic value...we all agreed that we will definitely be back if back throughR

We are evacuees from the Yellowknife, NT fires. We did not make any reservations and we just got in our cars and fled the north. My daughter, her dog, and I arrived in Rimbey, Alberta and the Quality Inn provided a room for us at a very reasonable rate given our situation. It is comfortable, clean and very friendly here. Thank you to Ben and Carrie who are so friendly and doing what they can to make us feel comfortable and welcome here.

We were evacuated from our home due to fires, we were charged full price $160 per room, we had two rooms plus a $50 dog fee. We checked in around 3am and out around 9am, they knew why we were there and had no compassion for our situation. Won’t be back

It is unfortunate to see a post like this attacking a local business who is going out of there way to support the evacuees of Drayton Valley. The knowledge of this emergency came abruptly to everyones attention late night. Quality Inn and Suites RImbey, became prepared with extra staff early this morning in preparation of providing relief to evacuees. Special rates were offered to guest, and further reduction of rates have been set up to accommodate a longer state of emergency. We have not received any negative feedback from any of our guest directly. In fact quite the opposite, as we have opened up additional pet friendly rooms in our hotel to accommodate pets during this troubling time. I suggest contacting the evacuees who really stayed with us to be more knowledgeable instead of these false claims. Rest assured you will not damage our online reputation. We continue to be proud of the care we have always been committed to provide to our community, our neighbours, and our loved ones.

A bit pricey for what you get as we got a discount for a wedding. Breakfast was okay but unfortunately ran out of hot items as there was only one staff in charge of the breakfast and it was ver busy. Beds are quite comfy and nice to have fridge in room

You dont get what you pay for. The breakfast is still not open. They are giving the same disgusting bagged breakfast everyday. You pay for a hot breakfast but get a microwaved gas station burrito that you have to decide the day before what time you want it and it sits at the front desk for you to pick up. The hot tub is down for maintenance. The side door has been broken for two weeks so if you want to let your pets out you have to circle around the entire motel. The cleaning service is very poor. My bed looks like a six year old made it, Looks like they are woefully understaffed. Every restaurant is open in town and there are no restrictions yet this place is using covid as an excuse to not provide the services you are paying for. Decided to cut my stay short by two weeks. Do not recommend staying here until they sort things out. Very disappointed.

Hello, Thank you for your recent stay with us and for taking the time to post your reviews on Choice hotels’ Medallia and Trip advisor. The experience you detailed is not the norm for our Hotel, our guests typically find our rooms clean, comfortable and our services and amenities are above average. Throughout the pandemic, we adopted enhanced policies to ensure our guests and staff are safe. Among these policies our Cleaning, Disinfecting as well as some of our services have changed such as Breakfast and Housekeeping. Our Breakfast bags are in place as per the brand standard due to COVID19. They have been welcoming to guests as the replacement of our Breakfast Buffet. Having said that, thank you for staying with us for 14 nights. Upon your arrival our staff introduced our services and protocols under the current Covid restrictions, you selected your daily bagged breakfast choice of menu and the Housekeeping cleaning frequency. We never promised you that we will change our protocols and services. Most of our guest appreciate and understand that we are not a restaurant and we do not offer “served-seated” meals like restaurants do, Our “Buffet style” breakfast requires protocols, even after the lifting of restrictions, as the health and the safety of our staff and guests are important to us. We are pleased to announce that our Hot Buffet Breakfast will open in the coming weeks. Our Hot tub was closed for 2 days during your 14 nights stay for maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience, but I don’t believe this is lack of maintenance but rather care on our side to ensure we meet the health standards. We take pride of our housekeeping staff and level of service they provide, our guest reviews Cleary confirm that. Most of our guest understand the staff shortage many businesses suffer after the “re-opening” and are appreciate that we are open to welcome safely our guests. We value your feedback and thank you again for taking the time to share.

While this hotel used to be a Best Western, the rooms are the same quality you would expect from them, just they aren't quite as up to date as a BW would be nowadays. Don't normally do overnighters in Rimbey as my work is based out of Red Deer, but with a couple jobs in the area it saved from the back and forth driving on that busy Hwy 20! So I chose Rimbey Ridge over CanAlta because of the quality expected being a former BW. Now I have had some experience staying in hotels during the COVID-19. So far everyone has a slightly different format. Some don't even serve free breakfast, others would have limited options available to take-out, and some do the breakfast bags to go like this hotel. However, I did not realize this place required a form to fill out, as the front desk never even provided nor did they ever explain to me how their breakfast and other services work in line with COVID-19. It is proper etiquette to inform all guests about any odd changes due to the pandemic, as they're all so different and unique to each hotel/motel/motor Inn. This resulted in me missing out on free breakfast next morning due to the lack of communication from the front desk. The worst part is, whoever was at the desk that morning could not even offer me something quickly to warm up and go. I had time, and they could have easily gone in the back and warmed me up something to make up for their error they made. Did not even do that. Guest takes the loss for their mistake. Now, given the price reduction and that Air Miles were used on a free night, no big deal, but still a free breakfast is included in that 115 CAD/night, and I end up having to buy it from the GTI station, thank goodness they were open before I start work at 7 am. The pool/waterslide was nice, except the ladies cleaning the place were caught in the mens room as I was entering! Ahhh! What next? They see me coming in and showed me the sign-in book, and then there they are in the mens room. Lol, it's a good thing I didn't just all of a sudden strip or that would've been a scene! I appreciate them all keeping things COVID-19 safe! Just giving them a hard time! Anyways, all in all not a bad stay. Communication could have been a lot better with the breakfast that's all. Free breakfast is one important factor in my choosing of a place to stay. I thought this place would at least be a bit more decent, due to the ratings I had seen. Turns out CanAlta might have been the better choice. Sorry, but I have stayed at quite a few places across Alberta from the most budget friendly motels out east to these grandiose hotels and I must rate fairly. A place out in Coronation for $65/night at least offered free breakfast where I could go in, use hand sanitizer, wear a mask, grab food and go. In Red Deer, a BW plus would allow us to freely walk in and grab a breakfast burrito in a bag and coffee and go. Here? No breakfast unless I fill out a form? Then at least GIVE me the form when I check in! Unfortunately there won't be a next time, but I cannot give a 4-star rating to this, where others out there that are much smaller scale, are offering even better service.

We came to Rimbey twice for drag racing both times staying at The Rimbey Ridge. We were greeted by a friendly front desk both times. The hotel is clean and the breakfast for covid times was well put together. The family enjoyed staying there and when and if we return to Rimbey we will stay there.

I stayed at this hotel twice. We came for the drag racing and the distance away from the track was perfect and customer service was amazing and breakfast was good. Clean rooms and comfortable. Would stay again.

We were in Rimbey to attend to a family memeber in the hospital and needed to stay longer than anticipated. The staff at the Rimbey Ridge were so accommodating and sensitive to our situation and one staff member in particular (Jordan) was exceptional. Jordon was so kind and in several ways on several occassions bent over backwards to treat us with exceptional service. Pleasant and proffesional! The rooms were clean and well equipped and all the COVID precautions were in place to assure us of a safe and comfortable stay. Our go to when we are in Rimbey from now on.
