A fantastic and friendly hostel, probably the most welcoming of any hostal I have ever stayed in. The staff + the pets are great + if really did feel like a have how home . Lucho is a complete star and fantastic guide + embasador for Peru and this region. Thank you for making it a relaxing and fun stay. More

We spent 3 weeks here and enjoyed every moment!! Nilda was a wonderful host, cook, etc a great place to set up camp and the free WiFi was a bonus!! The hospitality we've received from Nilda, Jair and Lucho has been above and beyond. Hope others enjoy their stay as much as we have. Greeting from Nova Scotia More

Not all that it is cracked up to be in Lonely Planet. Location is 10 minutes outside the city, making all trips around the area more difficult. Rooms are dreary and windows lead to a dark courtyard. Showers, when they don't blow the circuit breakers are miserable (sparks in heads make one fear for one's life). Lucho although quite friendly... More

This hostel had a really nice, relaxed feel about it. We were picked up from the bus station and ended up extending our 2 night stay to 6 as there is a lot to see and do around the town. The staff are all friendly and helpful, there are nice communal areas with lots of quirky antiques around. However, it... More

We are so glad we picked Incas deñ Peru and La Casa de La Abuela,we are two women who have never traveled in South America, and really appreciated the personal attention and guidance we received from Incas del Peru. La Casa de la Abuela is not just clean, comfortable and safe. It is a calm, peaceful environment, with a gentle... More

We sent my reservation by email and they organized my transfer from Etucsa bus Station. This company is cheapest than Cruz del Sur.We arrive around 3pm.It is a nice hostal a few blocks back from Parque de la Identidad and "El Rosario". Orphanage. It is also close to Cochas (place for gourd carvings). I stayed in a double room which was very... More

After another long overnight bus, I arrived in the city of Huancayo and the first thing on the to-do list was to find a place to sleep. I tried a couple hostels in the downtown area, but found them to be a bit too pricey for my needs, so I wandered around town before running into the famous Lucho Hurtado.... More

Just stayed at this hotel, paid 50 soles per night and felt it was not worth the price. The hotel would be ok as a backpacker standard if it were closer to the center of the city, but the location is disastrous. It is a good 10 minutes away from the center in taxi, and although the taxi rates are... More

They have moved to a new location since March, 15 minutes away from city center. There are no restaurants around but you are not allowed to use their precious kitchen. Paid 48 soles for a single room, but ensuite hot shower does not work as they haven't finish renovating all the rooms. When I reported the faulty hot shower, a... More
