These rustic cedar cottages all with outdoor heated spas sunken into the deck have maximized the privacy and seclusion of the 52 acre property in the Hunter Valley. The cottages all have Oregon beams & rafters, Cathedral ceilings and wooden floorboards. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas cook top, dishwasher, breadmaker with provisions to bake your own bread and even a pod coffee machine. A breakfast hamper is supplied of locally smoked bacon, farm fresh eggs, tomatoes, milk, juice, bread, butter and a selection of cereals. The cottage has coffee, tea and a choice of herbal teas too.Sit back in the lounge watching the flames dance in the wood fire combustion heater while listening to your choice of music from the Bluetooth speaker system. All the decks have the gas barbecue and covered sitting area. Sit back with a glass of Hunter's best wine in the bubbling hot water of your private spa, the best place to star gaze or kangaroo spot. Lovedale, home to the famous Lovedale Long Lunch is filled with excellent restaurants and wineries. The bedrooms all have reverse cycle air-conditioners and all linen and towels are supplied.
We went there in August last year and I can't recommend it enough. It was cosy, secluded, romantic and peaceful. My husband and I had such a hard year and wanted to treat ourselves and we did. We stayed 3 nights. 4 days. I lived in the jacuzzi. It's not cheap but worth every cent for what you get. Breakfast included. Overall a very enjoyable experience ☺️ We plan to go back this year again.

We bought a voucher for my in-laws to stay here for 2 nights. Their report was that it was very tired, things were broken & in grave need of updating and a good clean. Very disappointing given the reviews we had read before purchasing this voucher. They said the setting would be lovely if more care had been taken to maintain the accomodation and surroundings of the cottages.

We cannot recommend this place enough. Dominic and Jane made it easy to check in and all Covid procedures followed and great directions. The Cottage has everything you would need to cook meals and a yummy breakfast supplied. Highlight for us was the Jacuzzi which was sensational at night under the stars. Overall was a comfortable place to relax 🙂

My wife and i took a 2 night getaway before lockdown. We live in the hunter valley and wanted to support local businesses. I have heard how beautiful these cabins are set in the natural surroundings. The cabins are spacious and very comfortable. The facilities are great, everything you need. The complimentary port was a nice touch. The sunken spar in the deck was very relaxing and tranquil. It was a perfect getaway from everything happening in the world. Dom and Jane thank you for sharing your beautiful property.

The location is amazing and the hosts are fantastic. Stumbled across this accomodation by luck and was happy with the outcome. The rustic wooden cabin blends well into the surrounds, with a spa overlooking the dense vegetation. Lots of wildlife to sit and watch while sipping some wine. The cabin was completely private and allowed us the opportunity to relax in peace. Inside the cabin mostly clean and tidy. The furniture was a little dated but certainly not a show stopper. The breakfast was good with all the requirements you needed to start your day. A nice sized bed, hot water and comfortable interior made the stay enjoyable. Close to the wineries but far enough for plenty of quiet time. Would recommend to others and would go back.

Recently stayed at Manzanilla Ridge for our honeymoon and loved the peaceful quiet location and the homely cabin. Everything we needed was there to have a quiet relaxing time together. The added surprise of a bread maker for a fresh loaf of bread for breakfast was a definite hit. Loved chilling in the spa looking at the stars and how the cabin location felt so far away yet so close to everything we wanted to do. Dominic was great at making sure everything was ready to go when we arrived including the fire ready to go for the night. We would definitely love to stay there again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing and private getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at Manzanilla Ridge! The owners were super helpful and accommodating. We asked to check in early and they got the cabin ready for us at the requested time. They helped us organise a wine tour and spa day and arranged our pick up with the tour provider. The property is amazing, it feels like you are in a remote bush where you can’t see or hear anything but nature, when in reality all the wineries and sights of the Hunter are very close by! There are native birds, kangaroos, lizards and possums as well as a million stars! The cabin is very comfortable and homely and the spa on the veranda makes it a dream. The fireplace was great to have on a colder night and created the most cosy atmosphere! The complimentary port was delicious and everything is provided for a hearty breakfast. We definitely want to come back with friends and family and highly recommend! If you want a private retreat in the middle of the Hunter, stay here!…

We booked a spa cottage as the last leg of a hectic holiday. We wanted quiet, peaceful and with a spa large enough to fit both myself and my rather tall partner. What we got was all of that and more. The cottage was lovely, full of warm timber and everything we needed. It was surrounded by nature and the outdoor spa was well kept and had a great view of the stars at night. With the nearest cottage just barely peeping through the trees, our privacy was secure. It was only a short drive from the cottage to a wide range of wineries and eateries as well as really easy access to Cessnock proper. Dominic was welcoming and easy going. I think we'll add Manzanilla Ridge to our itinerary from now on!

Stayed recently after a business conference and just wanted a quiet getaway. Manzanilla Ridge met this requirement and then some! Only a few km's away from many different activities, we didn't have to leave the cottage after a quick shopping run. The BBQ and Heated Spa were welcome activities during the evenings, and during the very hot day, the Air Con was also very welcome. Friendly staff, quiet area and great little touches like a coffee machine and a fresh bread maker made this the perfect end to a holiday. Definitely will be returning.
