Gortnadiha Lodge lived up to the expectations! A very comfortable place to stay in a serene environment. The view towards the bay and Dungarvan is excellent. Breakfast was always something to look forward to - excellent coffee and freshly baked scones! I managed to relax and sleep very well as the bed and bedlinen are of a very high standard.

Not usually a B&B dweller - I found myself with little choice when attending a friends wedding in Dungarvan than to reconsider my past misgivings after luckily stumbling upon Gortnadiha Lodge in County Waterford. Eileen greeted us with such a warm welcome that I couldn't help but be happy walking through the front door into a stylish hallway with a... More

Eileen breathes hospitality. The minute she opens the door to you, you know you could only be in Ireland. We had a glass of whiskey together, a chat about food and lovely restaurants, before I toddled off to bed. Her home is as welcoming as she is. You're awaked to an array of choice for breakfast. Beautiful crunchy granola with... More

My husband and I have just returned from a two night stay in Gortnadiha Lodge. Eileen Harty is the epitome of Irish hospitality, friendly, helpful and interested in her guests. Her home is comfortable and elegant but very welcoming. Guests eat at a communal dining table in a lovely room which also contains two comfortable sofas with a selection of... More

I stayed at 7 B&B's in Ireland during a 2-week vacation, and this one ranks #1! Eileen went out of her way to make my trip to Ireland truly special. I arrived to receive a warm hug at my car followed by a hot cup of tea after what had been a grueling trip including a flat tire. I experienced... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Gortnadiha Lodge, which was one of the most lovely experiences we had in Ireland. The setting, a snug and pretty house overlooking a lovely flower garden with a view that slopes down a valley and over the sea, was serene but close to a host of interesting sights. Our room was peaceful... More

I'm just back in New Zealand after an extended visit to Ireland and want to take the time to recommend this lovely B&B, which was simply the nicest accommodation I encountered during my trip. The setting was stunning: peaceful, rural but not too remote, the house itself beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, the food delicious, and most memorably, the hostess... More

We spent three nights at Gortnadiha Lodge. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Eileen, our hostess, could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Each day she would inquire as to our plans and offer suggestions as to routes of travel (not necessarily the most direct, but usually worth the detour). The grounds around the lodge... More

A cup of Earl Grey tea and some home baked cake was my introduction to this warm hearted B&B. Swiftly followed by a lovely chat about Irish literature. In the morning breakfast couldn't have been nicer. Loved trying 5 Irish cheeses Oh and the view is fabulous.
