Luny by name but not by nature. This guest house is really very good. I haven't stayed in a guest house for years and so was quite apprehensive but it was a very very good standard in every respect- sufficiently good and impressive to make sign up to this trip thingy and say it. I have never been there before... More

We first stayed at Thomas Luny house earlier this year, and loved it. I'm normally cautious about going back to somewhere that seemed special. Will it be as good as I remembered it? But I needn't have worried. This time we stayed for two nights, and the whole experience was simply perfect. Every aspect of our stay was just right.... More

We have only ever stayed in a few B&B's, but to describe this one as such is a total understatement. The welcome is first class, the tea and cake on arrival, and the breakfast cannot be bettered. The place is absolutely spotless. It is located in the town, with it's own parking, and is ideal as a touring base. If... More

The place was amazing, the hosts Alison and John made us feel like one of the family, even asked which paper we would like each day. The breakfast was the best and I loved all the stewed and fresh fruit each morning. Our room had assorted tea, coffee and biscuits also fresh cream in a flask for our coffee, If... More

We have stayed in Guest Houses up and down the UK, some excellent and some that we care not to remember, Staying at Thomas Luny House for 4 nights was quite simply the very best in every aspect of guest care and hospitality. We have already booked and eagerly anticipate another stay.

This is a dolls house of a Hotel. The service is impeccable, the welcome superb and the food sublime. It’s all in the owner’s attention to detail. Welcomed with fresh coffee and homemade cake we were sat by an open fire in a period drawing room, sinking slowly into deep comfortable couches. That alone was worth the journey. Book and... More

This Bed and Breakfast is of the highest standard,I have ever visted Tea and Chocolate cake on arrival, and a newspaper when you come down to breakfast. Alison and John ask you what time you require breakfast which is lovely, and all beautilfully done and all home-made. Everything was spotlessly clean and John even took me back to the station... An oasis of peace and quality within the shortest of walks to the centre of the town, and with the added bonus of private parking. Alison and John were the perfect hosts . The standard of our room was superb and the cleanliness exceptional. Breakfast was of the same high standard and included both home made and locally sourced produce.... More

This beautiful Georgian house is one of the best b&bs that we have ever found. Spacious rooms, well appointed and very friendly and competent owners. It's a little more expensive than most, but tea and cake and a daily newspaper are provided; you get what you pay for after all. It's location puts all the restaurants in Teignmouth (such as... More
