My husband and I recently stayed at the Acorn Inn in Evershot for two nights on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis. We love Dorset and chose the Acorn Inn after finding it on the internet. Its close proximity to many places of interest plus its picturesque setting in the sleepy village of Evershot made it the perfect chose for... More

My wife and I have just stayed at the Acorn Inn (plus our brown and white border collie called Muddy!) and we had a simply great experience. Long walk on Saturday afternoon around the borers of Melbury House and via Melbury Osmond. We'd booked to have the tasting menu at Summer Lodge Hotel in the evening so a couple of... More

The Acorn Inn is a 16th century coaching Inn and featured in one of Thomas Hardy's novels so as you can imagine it is all wooden beams and old stone. The bedroom I stayed in was a standard double and was clean and chintzily done up with a wall mounted TV, small cupboard and double bed. The bathroom was very... More

My wife is a wonderful cook so we have to find restaurants that come up to her high standards and the Acorn filled the bill beautifully. The service was relaxed and friendly (although I think they forgot we had arrived for a while!). The... More
