I stayed for one night in early May with two friends who were to embark on 'The Great Outdoors' walk across Scotland. We were warmly welcomed by Cameron and made to feel at home. Although the Inn was busy Cameron and Dave found us a table and we had great and fulfilling local food: including scallops with black pudding and... More

Stunning Scottish food, superbly presented. Highly recommend the chowder, and the haggis starter. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very welcoming after a good tramp over the hills!

Stayed here on Fri 12th got great welcome and got a room with balcony, had great view. Room very clean, spacious and warm. Live band singing (not too bad for a rock band) Would recommend here for anyone to eat and stay. Couple of minutes walk from Train station and boat Good luck to Cameron and Danny on your venture,... Booked for Friday night and had a lovely stay. Room was nice and bright with a little verandah and sea views. Substantial continental breakfast. We decided to try to stay an extra night but they were fully booked. However owner phoned around on Saturday morning and found us somewhere for that night. He even ran us and our luggage the... More

Arriving in Mallaig from the 1st leg of our trip on the Jacobite Express to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were needing something more substantial and nourishing that F&C to soak up the champagne from the train journey. We found Chlachain Inn up the brae and decided to enter. The Inn had recently changed ownership and we were greeted and... More

We arrived latish for lunch as we were delayed in getting out from our home in Acharacle. We have eaten a few times in Mallaig before and it had always been alrightish, nothing brilliant or memorable. On our prior trips here to the Fish Market I recall the fish had a FINDUS breadcrumbs out of the freezer air about it... More

We arrived in Morar at our B&B and asked Gary, one of the owners, where we could find a dog friendly restaurant for an evening meal, he recommended the Chlachain Inn and we were not disappointed. The meet and greet from Danny & Cameron was so friendly and it was nice to find somewhere that our 2 dogs could go... More

Only a few minutes walk from Mallaig Station, a friendly welcome awaits at the Chlachain Inn. Our room was clean, bright and modern. The entrance to the accommodation is up a fairly steep set of steps but the room was comfortable. We were lucky to have room 4, which has French doors leading out onto a small balcony with views... On a day trip from Fort William we called in for lunch which was excellent as was the welcome. Background music was traditional Scottish accordian which made for a nice atmosphere The premises were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Well done lads.
